Not particularly, but delays can rarely happen. That being said, having them be delayed for that long is usually a sign of either a bugged achievement that you need to redo, or an unobtainable.

I would go into your 'all achievements' list and see if that pops them, because for whatever reason, sometimes it does.

Yeah, that's the thing. It's an online only game, so once the servers are shut down it's a useless entry in your library.

I think it's just the principle of it that has got people angry about it. Lots of online only games have shut down, but that's it. They shut down and that was the end of it.

Removing the game from people's libraries is adding insult to injury and giving them a parting shot, so while I understand why it was done, I also understand why people are angry about it.

A big issue was making the game Online-Only in the first place imo, as the game had a decently long singleplayer mode that should have been playable offline

It's up to games to support a 40 FPS mode. As long as the console (and the TV it's connected to!) support 120 FPS, then 40 FPS modes are a really good alternative that mixes higher resolution with better performance than the usual 30 and 60 FPS modes

only thing awkward about 30 and 40 FPS is those that use a Freesync (or VRR) supported display might not be able to actually use the VRR as intended. Freesync Premium has a feature that will double the refresh rate when the framerate drops below the minimum range but I'm not sure if it is supported at the 48-120Hz Freesync range. All I do know is the difference needs to be at least 2.5x apart for this feature to be supported

60 and 50 hz refresh rates were picked as the base for those two standards since that's what AC power alternated at in the countries where they were developed.
Locking directly on the refresh rate causes interference, so they were offset (ntsc down, and i think pal up?) by 1 frame or two. Hence 59.94 and umm 50.0<something> (and that's the refresh rate but not the FPS... the fps is the 1/2 of that so 29.97 and 25.<something>

LOTs of differences between NTSC and PAL other than the refresh rate though that really matter when you're taling about color. NTSC colors drift, but it is able to carry more of them. PAL colors are more predictable but there are fewer which makes things look wonky
