I'm not gunna lie...it wasn't until I left that I truly appreciated the scenery in Arizona. It's fantastic, and frankly, I'm disappointed in myself that I never went on huge explorations.

Then of course there was the time during that road trip when we drove through what can only be described as some nondescript layer of hell in southern Colorado.

As soon as we entered this town, both of us felt a sense of unease, like we shouldn't be there. Then both of us started getting a headache and started feeling weird, as if we had inhaled some type of chemical in the air. Everything looked like it was coated in a thick layer of dust (no, that wasn't snow!). Buildings, trees, cars, everything looked like it hadn't been touched in years. There were no lights on in any of the houses (minus the porch lights like you see in the image). There were no cars driving around. The only signs of life we found in that whole damned place was two vehicles running with their lights on...with nobody in them.

I was only able to get this one clear picture because the camera was just utterly failing to capture anything in this area, almost as if something didn't want us to be taking pictures.

I started speeding down these streets, going like 80 MPH, trying my damnedest to get out of that pocket dimension we found ourselves in. We got to the only road out of that place, and it was a ten-mile-long perfectly straight road made of gravel or some type of temporary pavement. No road markings, no signs, no speed limit signs, no railings, nothing. It was just us on the road and black on either side, and our lights could barely pierce the thick darkness in front of us.

I was barreling down that road as fast as I could.

When we finally got to the highway, the dust finally stopped. We went to the nearest truck stop to take a breath and get something to drink, and that's when we saw it...

You know those electric billboards? The ones made for writing letters on it?

All it said was, "Feel different?"

Your headset, if it's stereo, will get the audio all the time regardless. The option in settings I pointed you to mutes the monitor speakers so you don't have it duplicated.
