Just so you know, you have to be in the same region if you want to directly gift someone something on Xbox. Otherwise, it's better to send them money through a money transfer app like PayPal or CashApp and have them buy it in their currency.

On most laptops the HDMI port is only for output. You can connect the laptop to a monitor or TV. It isn't for input, so you can't do what you want to do.
