The cheap ones are usually junk. #the average priced ones may or may not meet all specs.
The insanely expensive ones are snake oil.

And lots of things work when you only care about a 2 foot cable but when you start talking about 50 foot cables actually things matter

Yeah I'm just asking cause I was trying to run hdmi through my Audio Receiver and it degraded the visual quality, which it shouldn't in theory

I guess trying to get a perfect signal and putting things between the source can cause issues

I used to play A LOT on it, even double-dipping on games I already owned on other platforms.

I'm having an issue connecting my xbox one into a monitor so I can play games. So my monitor has a display port while xbox has an HDMI. I bought a cable (HDMI - DISPLAYPORT) in order to get a running display. But nothing is showing up on my monitor when I power on my xbox. I tried connecting the hdmi to both the 'in' and 'out' ports but still cant get it working. Does know how to fix this. Because in theory it should be working.
