It's not bad, honestly. Works more than good enough to where it's not a struggle.

Wish mod support was better (doesn't exist in the remaster, not that anyone is missing out because it was all just reskins), but other than that, it's perfectly playable. Even has a map editor in the remaster so you can make your own maps on console now.

This is the cool part. Threadripper's strength is not gaming, but it clocks to 4.4 GHz, so it handles pretty much any game thrown at it.

I call it my gaming workstation lol

I only have 32 GB RAM right now but will probably upgrade to 64 GB or 128 GB at some point. Debating on ECC or not.

There is. Its not quite as fast as a mainline Ryzen for gaming (slightly lower max turbo). Its also overkill on the core count.

KSP with controller is a huge steaming pile of awful, but I think it's one of those things where... I mean realistically, what were they supposed to do? It's a game with a bazillion controls on KBM that just flat out wouldn't translate well to controller, and that's pretty much what happened.

Kinda don't feel like it's their fault. It's exactly what would happen if they ever tried porting X to console. It would be miserable with a controller. Only reason Elite: Dangerous works as well as it does with all the shortcut buttons is because if you're needing all the controls, you probably have a HOTAS. Other than that, it's perfectly fine for general solo play.

I can plug a Schiit HEL2 directly into a PS5 and have 24 bit audio with no issue. PS5 supports UAC1. Xbox does not. Hence extra steps needed to use a HEL2 on Xbox, which will then also lose microphone support because optical and HDMI do not offer mic return channels on Xbox

Hdmi has more latency compared to an optical connection and most (if not all, ive never seen an amp or dac with an hdmi port) headphone amps and dacs rely on audio only connections. So If someone was using a video connection seperate from an audio one via optical it forces them to shuffle around their equipment or potentially buy new equipment alongside more latency
