Finally got to try 120 fps on series X. Got my Series X a year ago, and despite having am HDMI 2.1, the settings wouldn't let me enable 120 fps. Turned out I had to go into my TV and turn on "eNhAnCeD HDMI format". Took me a year of searching forums and going trying to figure it out, for me to randomly stumble upon this setting by accident lol

Any time you purchase something directly from someone, even with an IRL meetup, it is possible to get scammed. Are you going to have a power supply and internet connection available to boot the xbox and make sure it boots up, connects online and hasn't been banned from the xbox live network?
Not saying the user will try and pull this over on you, but there is a possibility they could. Taking precautions is your best bet. Something like meeting at a McDonald's or other location with free WiFi, taking a small monitor or display to confirm it works with would be a good idea, if you can.

When I go into my TV details in Settings, it says my TV supports 4k at 120 hz. However, it says my TV only supports Dolby Vision at 4k 60hz. Don't understand why it only goes up to 60 hz with dolby vision. My TV has 4k, 120 hz, hdmi 2.1 and supports dolby vision. But can't run 120 hz with Dolby Vision at the same time?

I used to have Sony Vaio laptops only. I think these days the only Sony items I own are a PS4 Pro and the Sony wmx1000Xm3 noise cancelling headphones.

Croc was still a fun take on classic platforming brought to 3D. The controls were not fantastic, but it was more straightforward than the collect-a-thon games that started trending at that time

I had Wii Bowling perfected and could get a strike almost every single time.

Golf was challenging too. You'd practice the shot and get it down perfectly. Then actually hit it and it goes too powerful and into the wind

We used to play Wii Sports in the ISP support call centre where I worked. It didn't need the pointer, so we could pass the Wii remote around the call centre and play with the game on the projector.

It did make me miss those sort of interactive games but even towards the end of the night my friends started playing tennis while sitting on the sofa lol

I tried hard to get into that one where you have an island and that badger makes you pay him back. But I couldn't get into that either

I'm in a bit of a strange place now. Zelda has always been my absolute favorite gaming series of all time. But as of late, I just haven't been excited much about any games on the Switch, not even the upcoming BOTW sequel.

If you ask me, they were trying to make a new Mario Kart, couldn't figure out what their next "gimmick" to add would be, so they instead went with DLC packs for MK8 Deluxe, several years after it launched

They do. 8 was released on Wii U, then ported to Switch. We had nothing for ages, then got drip fed DLC tracks.
I'd much rather get MK9 than DLC packs for 8.

The recent gimmicks have been: changes to gravity in MK8 (to allow sideways and upside-down tracks), gliders/underwater driving in MK7, motion controls/motorbikes in MK Wii, two characters per vehicle in MK Double Dash (Gamecube)...

If you limit yourself to games like Call of Duty and Overwatch, then sure, it's going to feel like there's nothing mind-blowing. But there's plenty of absolutely fantastic games out there. A Plague Tale Requiem, Tunic, Cult of the Lamb, Return to Monkey Island, Mario+Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Immortality, Horizon: Forbidden West, Stray, God of War Ragnarok, Elden Ring...
All those games have been quite well received and they all came out in 2022 alone.
