Sea gate expansion card can play all current Gen games. A regular USB drive can store them but you will have to move the game back to the internal drive to play it. Xbox 360 and non enhanced Xbox one games can play off the external usb drive fine

They actually get to learn how to work with the game engine's editor, they are part of the entire planning process for each sprint and milestone, they develop tests so that they can try out different parts of the UI in isolation (eg. a separate debug level where you can get attacked without dying to see how the UI reacts in each case)
