Ugh, the disc needs to be in all the time. I have a PS5 Pro with no disc drive. I've still got my regular PS5 with a drive which I could use to claim the upgrade, but if the disc needs to be in the console all the time then that option is out.

It kinda reminds me of Darkest of Days. You travel back in time and fight different wars from different periods using modern and futuristic weapons. Itโs not a very well known game, and it didnโt get the best reviews, but I enjoyed it. I played it in 2010 on the 360.

It also sounds like when you loan out a game, or transfer it to a different console you own, it removes it from the current console. So that means you may have to redownload the game when you get the license back.

Physical game lending won't change, but digital game lending needs to be part of the family group - and within local range. You can't do this with a family member in another town, you need to be with each other to do a local system transfer of the license.

It's personally a highlight for me, when you consider what it could lead into. I mentioned in a conversation earlier this week that the only games from SIE on Xbox were MLB and Death Stranding (it's an inbetween, but Sony helped make the game, so to me it's somewhat a Sony related franchise). For Switch, it's MLB, a Lego Horizon game (Which SIE did publish, not PlayStation Studios), and then Freedom Wars (which was licensed out to Bamco)
I honestly don't know why Sony is contracting out their games to Bamco for Switch and other platforms
Also, I looked it up. This collection is going to PC and PS5 too (keep in mind that the original 1 and 2 were remastered onto PS4 a few years back, and Patapon 3 via emulation port this past month
Sony might be gearing up to port a lot of their former Japan Studio games, and could be working with Bamco to do it. I'm awaiting to hear news of who is behind the port. Dimps (original dev) worked on the remaster of Freedom Wars, and generally worked on ports of various games from Bandai Namco, and did that as well as portable versions of several Sonic games for DS and 3DS
