I think Avowed is the only thing I've seen the most disappointment around as far as the artstyle goes.

Since it's a far cry from Pillars of Eternity's darker fantasy artstyle. which is what people were hoping for especially with the initial cg trailer showing a darker fantasy world.

the biggest concern I've had and seen is that it's just "the outer worlds artstyle but fantasy" and not very....idk. it's just abit of a clash

I don't find first-person melee combat very enjoyable. It's not as fluid and I personally don't think it fits very well outside of VR.

These are "the roots". They sure aren't bright and colorful, even when it comes to TES: Arena, which is...arguably one of the more "colorful" RPGs from back then.

I liked what I heard. They plan to continue and expand on what I love about Xbox. And opening games up to more people where it makes sense sounds good to me, don't mind at all.
A huge Cross-Play playerbase is especially important for live service games like Sea of Thieves.
Assuming it's gonna be SoT: I have two friends on PS/Switch only that are very interested in it, would love to play with them.
