Details has a threat metre or two if that's what you're talking about
Is it almost John Madden time? 👀
what for
i just got old tapes from 1997 ish of my grandfather talking about how he escaped germany in ww2 with my great uncle who was a nazi. At least thats how the story was passed down idk everything though. I was young when he passed.
how is this related to classic, druid, or wow at all
maybe his grandpa plays classic wow
well because im trying to pay gold for the help in translating. also, idk where or how to go about finding someone to translate so I'm just on the search for help.
try your servers discord
if they have one
most do
its just a us server so the germans are probably few and far between. figured this discord might have a little more outreach ya know
probs worth asking in your server discord. You might get lucky
If you want to pay in gold, you would need them to be on the same server anyway
Honestly you’d probably find someone for free online on like Reddit or something. Can probably find a couple dozen people willing to translate any WW2 related stuff, especially something like a personal story
yea post it on german subreddit for example
will give you multiple people translating or maybe message ppl individually there

does travel form (ground) get upgraded to 100% as well with journeyman riding on tbc?
No
oof, there's no such thing as swift travel form (ground) in classic?
Correct
Flying is also slower
Compared to the fastest mounts
Which is like alar and the raid achievement proto drakes and glad mounts
I think dungeon achievement is 280
I see, thank you so much!
Does anybody know whether a Druid in shapeshift can use bombs/grenades in wrath? I can’t seem to find the answer online
u can use engineering frag belt in cat form as feral druid in wrath private servers
dont know about classic / beta
i dont think professions were instantly maxed out on pve / pvp beta servers
for ppl to test them
I don't have beta, but I remember back in wrath it was fine.
Hey guys how fun is feral in wrath compared to the cata style?
7
You can use sappers but I’m fairly confident you can’t use bombs and grenades due to cast time
Is Balance any good for solo play? Wanting to have a Resto/Balance Drood because lvling a pally is atrocious.
what do you mean when saying solo, what do you intend to do?
Quest at a more efficient rate than a ret pally.
feral is pretty good
but moonkin no
especially not in tbc
but even in wrath patch
would not go moonkin before at the very least outland
but in wrath pala leveling is getting a shitton better too
with infinite mana/more spells
Mkay. Guess Feral will do. At least i can tank? Maybe lol. I never played a Druid until Cata so no clue what iam getting into.
for sure yea
if you talk leveling you could tank with ret gear too if you use shield + one hander and have dual spec
again that would be wrath - that isnt true in tbc

Hi all, looking for a boomkin / feral / resto BiS list for Wrath phase 1, any ideas where i could find this? thanks in advance!

Hey, currently having fun as a fresh dinged Feral DD, but i m kinda afraid of the WOTLK Feral, a lot of people say its realy hard to play. My question is, is it like
playing perfect = pretty good dps
playing semi good/okay = trash DPS?
Or is Feral in WOTLK also okay/any good when i dont play it absolut perfect? Thinking about just going Resto in WOTLK 😐
"hard" being very relative
Just play it and see if you have fun
Nothing is rocket science
Hi, would you suggest to not even go Balance until lvl 80?
For leveling I probably wouldn't go balance unless you have very good tbc gear
But BC/wrath leveling should be alright as moonkin due to way better questing gear don't think it's close to feral tho
Feral iirc has some of the highest potential DPS, but requires an understanding of snapshotting to push that bar, otherwise they ok DPS.
okay, thanks

I am new to bear tanking (still leveling up, only level 61 at the moment) and I am having problems with priests using PW:S on me on the pull. I ask them not to, but many of them do it anyway. I don't want to get an addon to remove the shield because I am afraid it will get me killed eventually. How do you all handle this problem? I guess one solution is to just make a macro that removes problematic buffs and hit that as needed, but I am wondering if there is a better solution.
Just make a cancelaura macro
Like getting priests to cut out their pws spam is like asking them to stop breathing
Alright. I will make a macro and just get use to hitting it. I can add renew on LoS pulls to the list of annoying buffs to get rid of too.
Lastly, when I am going into a pull with no rage, I feel like I am literally just rolling dice and hoping for the best. I have to run in, auto attack, and hope I don't miss and get enough rage to use my abilities before people start pulling. Even when I use enrage, it isn't enough rage to do anything right away. Is there a better way to be doing this or is that just a downside of bear tanking?
Welcome to tanking in tbc, it gets much better in wotlk, a lot of qol changes
Haha, dang.
I'll live either way. I manage just fine, it is just stressful in random groups that like to cast spells before you can even reach the enemies.
Yeah that won't change
shift into bear / you have faerie fire
bears are also some of the worst dungeon tanks as well and their threat etc mostly comes from scaling really well with raid buffs. Dungeons will always kinda suck. Make sure to utilise bash and taunts alot while using mangle on targets you have low threat on
TBC Bear dungeon tanking is the most fun because you get to actually do stuff instead of press consecrate and afk
Can anyone help with an addon or weakaura to track rake/rip with snapshots? I used to use Droodfocus back in the day and this over time was replaced by Dotfocus, neither are in 'support' now and no version of each works correctly with the wotlk classic game client. Every single WA i can find just tracks duration, or adds tracking for extending rip but nothing looking at if your currently proc'd buffs would result in a stronger ticking rip
Question if anyone if familiar with Vanilla Classic. Bears could theoretically serve as the main tank for basically everything, yeah?
Theoretically probably yea
At least most things

Will the pre-patch for Wrath classic allow druids to start using consumables in their animal forms? I got mixed results when I looked it up, but I think I remember reading somewhere a while back that this was a quality of life fix in the original Wrath.
hey
do ferals keep combo points on target in wrath
or do we keep them on our character
?
@noble forge
target
i think that was added in cata? I don't think the tree drinking water animation is something I saw in wrath.
Warlords, I believe. In MoP you have re-direct from using symb on a rogue
quick google says thats correct

This is a stupid question to ask I know, but I have always played Druid since Vanilla, with the on and off alt. I just notice in tbc classic that whenever I want to join a dungeon they always ask me to either tank or heal. Is this something that continues in Wotlk as well?
I keep losing aggro as a bear, especially in a spellcleave group and it’s really bothersome (and I prefer doing dps overall)
Asking you? For sure
But just cause you get asked doesn't mean you have to say yes
Form your own group, they ask because tanks and healers are hard to come by.
Looking forward to the qol changes coming in wotlk
There is always a tank/healer shortage for groups
From classic to retail, it has always existed for 5 mans
Then you typically have a tank surplus for raid content as you go from a 1:5 ratio to a 1:10
Tanking dungeons before WotLK as bear isn’t really tanking. Aoe threat is trash and players are even worse. Mark skull, mangle it and then ignore it. Taunt it back if needed. Otherwise you’re just controlling shit with bash, taunt, and charge. It gets better in WotLK
Is there a dedicated discord or channel for the specific Druid specs for classic or is it just this general tab?
There's a server for druid classic, located in the pins, but I don't think you'll get any more specific than that
Nope, just the one in the pins. Bear channel is good. Info for the other channels is good but the people are strange
i cant decide if i wanna main balance/resto druid or spriest/heal for wotlk... pve mainily
any thoughts which one and why would be better?
Try both and see which one you like more. Gearing etc for phase 1 is inconsequential and the main raid is naxx so it's probs your best time to play a bunch of different toons and see which one you enjoy more
yes
@ashen wharf here?
.
Hello, I was curious what race is better between nelf and tauren druids for wotlk? I'm thinking about rolling one on the fresh server
Tauren for horde and nelf for alliance
Lol, I’m asking between those two races which is the better for pvp and pve
over?
but the question doesnt really make too much sense - if you talk pvp assuming people play the best(and blizz doesnt change it) the really relevant race is human, however I think - and ive seen most people agree that human wont become dominant before s7 due to trial trinkets being nutty so I imagine loads of people will play things like orc before - so I imagine Tauren being best until your teammates swap over to human and its not because tauren racial is better earlier but your teammates have better racials on horde early and better racials on alliance late
pretty sure for pve neither spec has anything relevant at all
race*
Nightelf can drop combat and kitty steath in pvp with their racial starting in wotlk iirc
Yeah, Nelf seemed to get a lot of buffs in wotlk, I know warstomp and the 5% health increase for tauren was pretty big in pvp and pve, but now it seems like nelf is the best race for druid
5% is only on your base hp, no scaling or buffs/gear iirc
what buffs do the NE's get in wotlk?
I agree
I only know of the shadowmeld buff, don't think they get anything else
ahhh, oki
I mean 2% dodge continues to be baller especially with the rage change
Is there a guide for prepatch pvp talent builds (for Balance)? Can’t seem to find any
wowhead has some
I rolled a feral dps for wrath and im getting nervous. Never played the spec before but reading guides it sounds like its hard to play
It's not easy
its not rocket science what so ever
if youve played any modern wow in the last couple of years you'll be more then fine
^
It’s hard compared to pressing fireball / shadowbolt over and over
Maybe not because you have to put effort in to stay awake while doing that
I played boomy since Legion… i wanna play it in Wrath… am i in for a really bad time or is it noob friendly?
everything is easy
just play what you wanna play
I am leaning towards druid for tank/healer? will they be ok for groups/raids?
or am I better off doing pally for tank/heal
Top tier if you could play it
Borderline op
if I wanna just do dungeons of these two: prot pally, or Hpal, which is easier to get into groups?
Tank but you shouldn't have issues finding groups as either healer or tank
what UI do people use for wow classic?
elvui with benikui for theming, also with Project azilroka
Cant help you there im lvl 27
Grind BGs get honor, buy Season 4 gear, be ready for WOTLK dungeon soloing
IF bear, if not bear uh...do the same but bring a team?
I'm gearing prot pally I dont think I should even farm gear at this point
it will be replaced w quest greens soon
losing the quest helper addon hurts ready for the addon updates! Lol
Hey fellow druids! Does anybody know how to remove the "new default" mana bar while shapeshifted in 3.4.0 ?
https://www.twitch.tv/mumples 70 pre patch fc dru
Is it really that hard? In comparison to other classes that is?
Requires more than 3 braincells but it's more inline with modern wow rotations than other spec slap face to keyboard
To put it simple, it’s just keeping up dots and savage roar right, en spend leftover energy on FB?
Yes, to put it not simple it's snapshotting AP procs and not clipping high damage applications of your dots
anyone know where I could find feral dps pvp talent tree for prepatch
the cat rotation from what ive seen looks kinda convoluted with bear weaving and shifting out for OOC procs with gotw and shit, probs best to check the classic discord for it
Fairly new to classic but the heroics from last week to this week aren’t even the same game. Holy. Rdruid feeling nutty wild growth is INSANE
Feels like tranq
And starfall hurricane? Pffffffffff
I get discouraged quite easily, but i’ll just try and see for myself 😂
you can do it!
Ferals are good in wotlk anyway even without fancy things like bearweaving and fishing for omen of clarity procs, as long as you can play the bleed snapshotting minigame
Very sure what b tier just said is hyper optimization and you don't really need to do that if you don't want to
trust me dont do it
I cant find a bleed timer only weakaura. Anyone happen to know if any? Not looking for a full ui wa 😭
very easy to make yourself if you cant find that
just gotta check for debuffs on target
Idk how to make wa lol
I didnt know this existed
Find one with bleed. Delete / don’t load stuff you don’t want
Going through this list, why are there abilities in it I havnt learned yet?
Like insect swarm and feral cat bear charge
those are talents
Thanks
So is Ravage an opener and then you continue to use Shred but on bosses your in front of you just use claw?
Im lvl 34 I dont I have that yet
So you also don't face bosses
So I can take claw off hotbar once I learn mangle?
Yes
@crimson vault u need to stand behind bosses or to the side
@zinc fiber Arnt there some bosses like dragons you can do that with?
Cant*
Or is that a retail thing
they cant parry or block if you are behind
they can if you are in front
reduce dodges*
they can still possibly dodge
I meant by dont most dragon encounters have a tail whip mechanic for standing behind them?
most bosses had a frontal cone ability so what's your point
stand behind the boss or do less damage
Yeah but you cant dodge the tail whip
that's a very niche reason to do bad dps on every other boss
there are generally mechanics in raids yes but every raid is different
there could be a dragon that kills u if u dont stand behind
every fight is different but never stand in front of the boss unless u have a damn good reason
if the boss doesnt turn to face u when u get aggro then the tank doesn't have a visual cue to taunt
there are so many reasons to not stand in front
Hey in wotlk pvp can you do starfall shadowmeld and just chill while ur stars fall on ppl
Indeed you can
There’s some 1shot clips around from beta
Rogue/boomie
Tail whips are not the back 180degrees of the boss. It’s like a 60degree angle or something. You can be off to the side and slightly behind and still use shred
Good info to know. Thx
@full rock do i boost a druid or a hunter
CHOOSE
DRUID
oh, but ig i was wrong btw. feral doesn't get kcik in wotlk
thats cataa
u do get kidney though
mim
maim
I WSANT WRONG BAAOUT THT
and said i was a liar
YOU SAID THAT I WAS A LIAR
u dumb dumb bubble gum head ass
rogue
anyone have a macro for wotlk classic, go into treeform before mouseover healing spell macro?
you might be lying here
Trevvy always lies do not trust
how importatnt is raiding to stay competitive as a feral in arenas?
very
for hunter too right?
yeah i like it more than LOL, ive been playing dota since it was a wc3 map soo
i like the wow aspect of it
Does anyone have a solid 1-80 to follow for feral? I know nothing about classic
@noble forge can you explain what AP does for feral? I asked the classic discord and they literally go "imagine a rogue with really good daggers"
leveling guide or?
Talents more than anything
https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/guides/feral-duid-dps-pre-patch-talents-builds this is a good prepatch one
iirc 70-80 is taking resto shit to get moc back
errr ooc
Gotchaaa, thnak you :D
ap does the same for feral as for every single other physical dmg dealer
increases autos/ability dmg
ok i thought so they just gave some fucking condiment answer
should keep in mind that thats a raiding build something like improved shred is useless for lvling while something like imp mangle is quite good
dunno your question is kinda weird
to me it sounds like they thought you asked about ilvl upgrade on weapons
and if that is what you asked that answer is quite true
nah i was asking about the the actual ap stat
yea thats strange
I'm only level 27 atm, I was honestly gonna just go ooc first thing and feral from there. I'm not sure if it's particularly bad to delay other talent options though
How would you go about getting there then?
yikes
did u turn on confirm talent selection?
What
i wish i knew about that sooner saves a ton of gold if ur zoomer impatient
Interface > Features > Preview Talent Changes
I dno, I just saw some guide, followed it, realised it was actually bad and now here I am
turned it on now
id also give boomkin leveling a shot it seems super QoL now that mana issues were resolved
I'm gonna stick to feral just out of preference
wouldnt do that anywhere close to 30
maybe 50+
before that no way
look for talents that benefit pulling more than 1 mob
Well bear swipe does less than just rake spreading even with the talrnts
this cant be that bad
slider too for specific levels
Thanks a bunch <3
Ent which would you prio level engi or jc
im thinking engi for bombs to help dps but i can be swayed to jc
dunno
my guts telling me engi so i think i do engi first
What would be better for feral druid pvp Brutal Staff or the Brutal Painsaw polearm?
is there like a bis list from brutal gear for wotlk pre patch?
wrong channel lulw
Does int have any benefit for feral? Agi gear seems to be not common when lvling
int gives you mana
Thx
is there any guide anywhere for what brutal gear to get?
from my grind and what i got i went wep first then head
and then started to replace my old vanilla gear
ended up with this
wep should be top tier priority
do we want 2hander and not 1hander/OH
ofc has way more AP on it
im ready
ah i was talking about moonkin sorry
Are riding trainers still race specific in wrath?
i feel sad that wowhead doesn't have a leveling guide for feral...
Icy veins does
Classic discord has leveling talents. It’s really not needed as the normal talent set works plenty fine
I wouldn’t trust icy veins. They’ve been unreliable in the past until they copy wowheads guide for classic feral
was interested what they recommend but I literally cannot find it in their server, where is it?
like dont see a leveling channel and classic-wotlk does not have anything like that pinned
me, playing Feral Druid in Wrath: yo what the fuck did they do to Feral they absolutely ruined this spec on retail ???
I don't see an updated one for wotlk but here is tbc. should still be mostly relevant: #780185714942935091 message
yea dont think thats overly relevant
icy-veins has leveling talents
https://www.icy-veins.com/wotlk-classic/feral-druid-leveling-guide
o
Any recommended minimal resto druid elvui profiles for wotlk classic? Id love to skip setting it all up myself lol
do you take the mace or the staff from pvp ? cat.
26 hit 50 crit 100ap on staff / 50 str 19 hit 50crit 14armor pen
i don't trust Icy...they have led me wrong way to many times
part of the issue i think for leveling Feral is that talents are a little counter-intuitive, some of the most impactful talents are not FERAL talents. Furor and Omen and Master Shapeshifter are pretty much required for leveling and those are resto talents.
Looks like ap one is better to me
Hard disagree with them being required or even very useful for leveling
and i will have to disagree with you...with the amount of shifting you do while leveling Furor alone is worth it's weight in gold and master shapeshifter makes it so you can be a bit freer with shifting out to heal then back...
Why do you shift so much, and sure they are not useless but you sacrifice so much for it
Sth like imp leader of the pack will safe you more mana imo
And be more dmg in addition
Mangle is an absurd dps increase too
Ofc there are slightly worse talents like lvl 17-20 range I think you don't have crazy stuff to get but things like the expertise talent too is just amazing for leveling
Shift to heal, travel and pull.
shift to bear when i pull to much
shift when a mob starts fleeing
power shift to instantly regen energy
or dump a CC
yes i shift alot
I shift enough that 3 points in furor feels good but nothing past that quite yet
The dps increase from further down in feral tree is pretty big
quickj question, i just got back to the game.. I last played retail and was using a weak aura that tracked my bleeds.. i think it was by moonbunny?
is there anything like that for classic?
anyone got a pvp feral dps spec for prepatch
*natural
That's not a thing anymore
Do I get the brutal staff or 2h mace for a feral druid? I assumed 50 str from mace would be better than 100 AP, but then I saw that Predatory Strikes increases attack power from weapons by 20%
weapon damage doesnt matter for feral right?
technically correct
but weapon dmg determines the feral AP on a weapon
Incase you haven't already bought one, 2h mace is the correct choice. The strength = 100ap anyway, and it comes with armor pen.
@wise heart
Is there anything from TBC content that last awhile in phase 1 wrath? Im on a new toon and I wont have attunements done
these queues r crazy
can anyone suggest which guide for feral dps out there is the most accurate for wotlk? 😄
The wowhead guide is a good place to start.
"How's WotLK Classic?"
Are talent builds being changed once pre patch is over or during different phases?
WotLK Classic is on Wrath's final patch, so all of the balance/talents are set where they were at the end of the expac. Thus probably no balance or talent changes happening throughout the phases.
You don't need to do TBC attunements anymore. They made sure none of the Atiesh/random level 40 profession gear/gear from a level 30 dungeon/etc. shenanigans would happen again going from TBC to Wrath as it happened going from Vanilla to TBC.
Would training stick or Mograines might be better? x
I dno how to weigh up hit chance vs melee power for cat
whats the main changes for feral from tbc to wotlk?
alot changes about the spec. The biggest thing is how energy gains work so you dont powershift anymore
is the rotation basically the same?
it's different now ye
Is there a macro for travel form where it'll use the relevant one for wrath?
Cant find any phase 1 gearing builds. Anyone know of any? Only seeing pre patch
Big time different, whole "new" spec.
is balance or ele better at aoe farming?
dont think either is particularly amazing at it, but should be moonkin
but moonkin is amazing with starfall and hurricane, plus treants
i wonder if ele got something similar
how does the weapon attack power part of predatory strikes work?
for farming? not really
or you mean dungeon groups?
@noble forge actually for both... for dungeon groups primarily, but also if i would want to do some aoe farming or fast questing
I don't know if this is rose tinted glasses or not but I remember Balance being really good for AOE farming back in mid Wrath...just had to be a wee bit careful of your pulls(Starfall had wicked pulling range)
maybe it has to do w aoe cap
Totally depends what the goal of the farm is and what you compare it to
Getting the true 2008 experience
Druid classic discord > Wowhead > Barrens chat > All other sources
So for endgame I want to be Resto. But can't find any guides on how to level / talents to focus on to do quests efficiently but also able to heal dungeons. Struggling on questing solo. I'm still only level 45 just taking so long. Should I just spec into Balance and base healing spells are enough for dungeons anyways so don't worry about it? Any help would be grateful ty.
honestly? at that level you can heal a dungeon with out healing spec...remember we are NOT shamans who have to spec to be able to even wipe...a druid is decent at any roll no matter the talents. That being said Feral at that level is real nice and you can still heal/ranged damage
I remember BC going to Wrath and feeling like a farming god with starfall/bear Swipe
@empty basalt Alright sounds good, all my gear and talents i've bought are balance/resto and i'm too poor for respec and buy gear to try feral at this point lol. Thank you!
remember that it's a viable strat to let your tank die and then go bear to off tank while regening mana...i think? you have Frenzy regen by 45 and that can give you alot of mileage
and if the tank bitches? tell them they should have mitigated better
lol sounds good
if you haven't noticed i am a grumpy healer
i can heal alot of things...but i can't heal stupid
one QoL change i wish had made it into classic from Retail was the whole auto cancel shapeshift when talking to FP's
Legit healed ramps/bf as feral with some mp5 rings and a stack of mana pots
someone just told me feral cant trigger "on hit" items, is that true.?
Is there any way to stop feral form from forcing track humanoid?
Running some prepatch bt and swp. Anything prebis for nax hard to replace etc I should focus? I’m mostly pvp and za/Kara geared currently.
Well that’s no fun 😝 but fair point
i vaguely recall that...atleast with weapons? i think Trinkets still work but as Feral your not actually hitting with what ever weapon your using so any procs on weapons wouldn't work.
Huh, weird
Huh
I like the raid frames from the retail UI, just blocks that are shaded to match the class color, simple to position. Is there an addon I can get to have a similar appearence on classic?
https://www.twitch.tv/mumples 70 fc druid
For wotlk dungeon leveling, is feral or balance better?
prolly moonkin till you unlock swipe
Bear
Bear in brutal with 4 DPS as long as one can side heal (like a ret or enhancement) will plow leveling dungeons till 75;ez
What lvl is cat swipe
71 and I do more DPS in bear form than in cat right now because of how poorly cats are setup without ooc and better ranks
Have they nerfed feral dps or are they just testing stuff to balance out the dps ? Feel like read everywhere they have nerfed them
In the beta i mean
They're not tuned for prepatch
It's a case of feral standing still while everyone else has rocket shoes
They're not nerfed so much as everyone else (but warriors) got massive buffs
So feral dps will be valid in Wrath?
Im having real hard time to choose between feral or balance/resto 😶 even considering dk or boost something else
Feral has some of the highest potential DPS
🙏
which brutal weapon do i get for feral? i've seen people with the mace and the staff
Yes

The short answer is, mace
But it's splitting hairs
it won't matter soon so i'm not bothered, just wasn't sure if one was substantially better
yo im 62 lvling with this build
how 2 play
what abilities do i actually use
is claw my builder
or is rake better
rake costs less but is a bleed
wtf theres too many spells what is this bs
what do i spend combo pts on
theres ferocious bite / maim / rip
for builder should i use claw rake ravage or shred
one of u has to know
mangle is your builder, apply rake after first mangle, spend on rip if it will live long enough for the duration, spend on bite if not. ravage is an opener, shred isn't good while solo because it's from behind
thank you!! I need to save this
Shred becomes really good for dungeons/bosses/in groups cause (with the glyph) It extends rip for up to 6 seconds and just does a lot of dmg
i dont have mangle yet so for now do i use rake and claw to build?
should i get mangle before omen of clarity lol
i can get it if i dont go down boomy tree yet
I went from 62-64 today with your help thank you
i was lost
I'd personally recommend going full feral till at the very least mangle before anything else yes
thank u i will do that
So at 50 I'd have mangle maybe could argue delaying berserk for some other stuff
ok i got it i reset talents
at 64 i was able to get to berserk and 2 pts into resto tree
thanks again this is exciting
i was on a struggle bus lol
Yeah sadly were without ooc for prepatch
as long as you specify that you're talking OOC people won't cry foul wherever you're RPing @zinc fiber
it's actually power gaming to prevent my character breaking the 4th wall when I specifically wrote it into his backstory and had it approved
Guys Im having a issue here. it says online that the brutal staff is bis but ingame its missing the strength stats but when i look it up at wowhead it says with strength and stam
From the looks of it the mace is bis cause it actually has strength
Am i missing something?
where does it say that its bis for wotlk prepatch?
cause if so that is wrong yes
From the honor gear
also quite sure staff should not have strength, im interested got the link for it?
Not sunwell andie
yes got a link for that guide aswell?
Show where you read it
thats what I meant
cause I suspect
that it wasnt prepatch
and they talked about tbc
is there any way to get power back for cat abilities? does the wolf head helm still work?
They literally have the wrong tooltip
fair enough, but this is phase 5/tier 6
weird thing to change
When did druids lose 2 AP to strength ratio
dont think ever
They just stopped giving us strength?
we're picking the mace version then on this patch?
loads of stuff got redistributed for example feral attack power isnt a unique stat anymore
and just every weapon has it
sure
when I dont have power to mangle do I just sit there auto attacking?
yes
also should I be casting faerie fire or nah
yes
nice
well I cast it at the start rigjt
doubt thats more dmg compared to ravage mangle
kk I try ravage mangle
thought I had the right one I'm old
KK SWEET
ok this is way better
why is mangle so op the fk
ty for the help
got lots of quests done
mangle will go down in power after we hit northrend...or at least it did back in the day
you will still use it but it won't be OP
claw is pretty much for domesticated kitties(resto/balance)
ty!
Who are better off wrath spamming and kitty is only when they're oom (and they're better off in bear at that point anyway) my thought is, if you're reduced to using claw, you probably should just hit dash and gtfo
well yeah thats why i said Domesticated...you know the type...only good for laying about
(no offence to the Resto's out there)
(pls continue to heal me)
How is bear for raid tanking?
I was resto back on release but I'm tanking for my guild this time around
I dont remember much about bear bois
We're great
so feral is better than boomy leveling 64-70?
What’s the outlook on omen of clarity in its current state? Will it be proccing off attacks as well as autos?
Yes
so its still bad to level as boomie?
Hey any classic guys around that can give me a feral pvp spec for classic? Checked usual places, wowhead etc, and they have a pve spec only...thinking I need at least Feral Instiinct which isnt on there ofc for pve
this is for wotlk pre patch
not realy? depends on how you want to level. Dungeons boomy is hands down better...but open world? Feral is better due to sustain
anyone recruiting a druid tank for their classic guild?
What causes me to sometimes earn 2 combo points on feral dps?
boomy has insane aoe, that was what i noticed when i tanked tbc dungeons as prot pala, better than lock and mage on these levels
Oh thx!
i'm a feral druid that's early 20's. i hgot a str 2h mace that does more dmg than what i have. does that matter
sup guys, so lets say I wanna play feral to level but I'm mainly a healer so I'd like to heal some dungeons on my way to 70. I know feral can heal as, well, feral lol (I really don't want to tank, never have), but do I need to spec into anything on the resto tree? Or are my baseline heals enough for leveling dungeons
honestly? yes...you may struggle a little with mana but as long as you have some Int Gear to make your pool big enough to last the fight then yeah your good to go as heals in feral...as a plus when your mana is low just shift into cat and help speed things up or go bear and off tank
remember that it's DPS's responsibility to NOT GET HURT. and letting a stupid tank die and doing it your self is a viable strat
LOL sick, yea I know I gotta stock up on some int gear first, ty tho I'll be sure to brings lots of drinks and whatnot
It's also your responsibility to heal people, using mana to shift and you not being able to heal cause if it is your fault and letting your tank intentionally die is almost never correct.
As long as you have gear for healing you will be fine especially with the new wotlk talents for everyone but even during classic or tbc you could heal most stuff while being feral
It only starts being a real issue around 50’s onward, when tanks start being able to live pulling big
Are ferals going to have to pvp in wrath for anything important? Not a fan of it
What prof are y'all going? I just need to make easy gold, for cold flying etc
dont think so
obviously always an advantage getting the 2.2 weapon
there is good feral gear in wrath...i didn't pvp on my druid till mid pandaland
What major abilities are Cats missing rn? Im done jack for dps in dungeons event get declined from a few for being cat
swipe
Yea swipe is lvl 71
gang
ez trinket
Ent do you know when regrowth was castable in cat form when that started? procing greatness sounds so much easier with freegrowths
mostly Swipe
Someone was telling me around lvl 74 or something you get a 30% damage buff? I couldnt find any info on that
Savage roar
main goal for rotation after that is keep SR up keep rip up and with free cp bite
we're bad in prepatch cuz we're tuned around having Savage roar and we're missing like 10% in crit and other stats from resto talents iirc
No but trinkets in wrath have icds
So casting more doesn't procc it faster
Hm ok
Been looking at gearing in p1 for a good portion tn I got a p1 bis set and a 2nd bis set lmao
Also gl with greatness
is it dogshit to get? how bad are dmf cards to get
Depends on server I expect around 100k gold initially
jesus fuck
Dropping to probably 10-20k
i mean im 2nd for grim toll so
After quite a while
In actual wrath it was around 10-20k I believe and now ppl have way more gold and know how insane that trinket will be for a long timd
honestly might be better to just use sapph ap trinket
and farm the cards for greatness
farming cards wont reduce price drastically and id hope that the guild wouldnt give you both grimtoll and saph trinket
at least early
im not on bandit but i am 2nd for GT the pvp trinkets not that bad either
yea there are for sure options, however obviously nothing comes close to greatness in either this tier or ulduar
is the t7 2pc pure QoL? or does it have large dmg value i saw that im pretty low on prio for them
4s on rip kinda just sounds like a missed bite potential
dunno
If bite had potential
With the amount of crit and armour pen it’s 100% worth but it’s low in the priority list
Although keeping lacerate up and pooling with 5cp is prob the play
Save cp for when you get right back into cat
I doubt that part
but maybe pretty sure bearweaving is mangles tho isnt it?
what can a geared druid do to gold farm in classic?
Like, wrath classic or classic classic
wrath classic prepatch
i have a feral and a balance set just kinda want to kill stuff and get money
Geared, can probably solo dungeons
gold farms kinda hard honestly if u have time 1 good av win with honour is a 50g gem
wait theres a 50g gem honor vendor?
im alliance but in the SW pvp vendor area across is a human who sells gems for like 1400 honour
they sell on Grob A for about 45-50g each
but if u also have mining and herb leveled up people are leveling profs
i made a bit of gold just selling the ores i didnt use or the bars i didnt use
ty!
I was making 50g a shot offa mithril shield spikes when prepatch hit, but that's died down a bit
best bet for easy gold is just farming ores and herbs
Ores especially since jc eng is bis for so many
its quite expensive to level engi lol
Yeah 400iq folks grind up engineering and mining and just hold enough ore to cap jc after
Farm mats. Make leveling kits. Sell to people who come back as WotLK closes since they’ll want to swap to engi or Jc
hey if i want to play feral in wotlk for pvp what professions should i take? does it even matter ?
for pvp? engi for sure
JC if u want some added stats or LW for giga stam iirc but either work engi is a must have
heard the engi stuff doesnt work in arena though
and here i am thinking skinning might be good for more crit xD
Hm yeah I actually don’t know I feel like professions don’t make that much of an impact there
oh fair enough, thanks 😄
Anyone have a good guide/table for ideal gear drops to aim for while leveling feral on the fresh realms?
JC engi, glove enchants work
Could maybe see bs instead of engi
does that's wolfshead helmet still work lvling in classic? if so I'd go for it
It's nerfed in wotlk, power shifting relied on a talent+ helm
In classic though yeah it's great
Personally don't think it was amazing in classic or tbc for leveling either, was a nice bonus but nowhere near as powerful as for raiding due to mana
Oh yeah for leveling you're going to be bear most of the time
Just because cat damage is why the giant pandas won't screw
ah I see
I am leveling I'm 65 now on my druid
pretty proud of myself tbh lol, havent gamed like this in years
gaming used to be my life then I stopped but imma start again
If anyone is trying to honor farm in Classic WLK, this guide shows how to optimize your time to get the most out of your time.

hello guys, i was planning on going for tailoring and engineering for wotlk because i want to get as much mounts as possible.
however i just realized that both of them have a cloak enchantment
so i just wanted to ask the question how troll it would be from a min-max perspective to still have both professions since im planing to raid in a progress guild who wants to get realm firsts later in wotlk
If you’re wanting like realm first clears then probably engi/jc or engi/enchanting
is there any way to see the dps loss i would have?
engi doesnt really have cloak enchant
you are fine
the real engi enchant is gloves + boots to some extend
it does have the slowfall wich can have spell power with it
yes im aware
i will definetly try it with tailoring if so
its 27 SP vs 23 haste, which probably depends on your current gear to begin with
is tailoring a dps loss? yes on average very likely is it some massive thing? no
i mean i could get the engi enchant + a full bonus of another profession instead
?
with tailoring i would just let 1 thing pass and not utilize it
to quote myself its 27 SP vs 23 haste, which probably depends on your current gear to begin with
I dont think engineering cloak enchant even is a dps increase in every situation
if we take feral for example cloak enchant is literally 1 agi
more
compared to normal one
i mean the gear is probably gonna change before i get into naxx so i cant tell
rn im just mh/bt geared
the relevant parts of engi are the glove enchant, nitro boots and saronite bombs
if you're going by that sp enchant ur best bet is jc
with the gems giving more stats and they are interchangeable
The minmaxing on professions drives me batty, do these people literally think a 5 DPS gap from ts is going to be the difference in getting realm first more than just being a sweaty neckbeard
these players are cutting edge and need every bit of confidence and transmog they can muster
listen hear
Every little thing adds up. But for the most part, it won’t impact people much because they neglect other larger factors like practicing rotation, CD timing and consumable usage
In general, engineering is really the only impactful choice that has ever been in the game. Rare exceptions for crafting professions that let you adjust your loot prio to get other things sooner
An entire raid using sappers is big
Are any of the dark moon decks decent for feral? Tbc and wrath versions?
greatness is absurd
Is that a wrath one?
yes
Leveling insc right now and I need a trinket so is there any tbc ones worth?
I just dinged 70 earlier today and did the prepatch scourge invasion event for some epic gear, but I'm wondering: is there an easy/quick way to pick up a new weapon or some trinkets that don't require me to find raid pugs or grind pvp? Would like to pick up some ez upgrades before wotlk levelling starts
Auction hall your way to exalted with cenarion for bear hammer
Besides that, nope it's pvp or raiding
Or grind 150ish badges for the justice weapons
not really if u can get badges brooch is your best bet
41 badges
Noted
whats better single target at lower levels: Swipe or Maul?
because i feel rage starved when i maul
Because maul replaced your rage generating whitevswing
What level and how close to death do you get
38 and no where near death
Pull more get glyph of maul
there is no more...
this is single target fights
heyy guys ! is there any feral pvp guide ?
yes: Mangle
For balance should I get the brutal staff or spell blade?
can also just wait for wrath
if you want a weapon right now and just dinged 70, by FAR the best thing available is the pvp one
and its not close
I see I see
Might as well sort out professions and get my hands on some more gold then
This, keep in mind unless you're going to be doing some goofy type dungeon going wotlk quest content is basically scaled for level 68 greens
Do you just get swfit flight form for free via a quest chain ?
yes but u need rep with the lower city honoured and u need to buy epic flying
And be 71? Or is that a no, at the trainer that’s what it has listed
nah
you can get swift form now
honor hold and thrallmar
can teach you epic flying at 70
idk if it changed with wrath, but it required you to have epic flying to start the quest in TBC
you still need epic flying
if you dont want to do the quest
yes
wait im lost
Oh gotcha
If you go talk to Druid trainer it lists flight form at 71. But apparently that’s just to skip a questline
I’ve heard people say mangle over shred and the opposite for pvp does anyone have a better explanation of one vs the other?
is there a macro that will change my action bar from ravage to shred when i enter or leave stealth?
mangle if u cant be behind the enemy if ur talkign about leveling pounce > Shred > mangle > rip or bite
in raid u only wanna keep mangle debuff active and shred
and for pvp ur never behind an enemy outside of your opener so back to the leveling statement
@steel remnant thanks
sorry also in raid if u cant shred mangle takes over @raw salmon i didnt mention that
There's ways to shred in PvP but it requires very specific movement that allows you to, only attempt after looking into it
What that's just false
You can usually shred in pvp
By getting behind
There’s no shot in a 1v1 you can shred most of the time
You can
Hm I must be missing tech
Unless the other guy walks back to a pillar that would get a bit tricky but usually still possible
Hm I’ll have to look into that I couldn’t really shred in the 1v1s when farming honour
Hitboxes are funny things in PVP, if your running through your target and flipping your character while spamming shred it'll go off a lot.
You literally just run through the hit box and whip your camera if you have to. It’s the easiest thing
so what would you all say the feral leveling rotation is pre50? just Claw and FB? or Pounce, Rake, Rip? and why?(just curious)
Are feral tanks any good early on in dungeons? I have a lvl 16 and questing is sooooo slow right now. I'm just wondering if doing dungeons as a tank will be faster
You don't have a lot of buttons at 16, but generally you get groups as a tank fairly fast
not really? but then again tanks kinda all suck at that level
once you get swipe it gets a bit better...plus Bears are insanely good at soaking up damage...just not that great at maintaining threat when the mage or lock goes all out
hey guys, do i NEED force of nature for a pve boomie?
also why do i see most other guides skipping past dreamstate?
at that level you could probably heal and find a prot pal
clear even faster
Or a war big daddy revenge starts at 14
Well except for bael because fuck fire damage
It's your highest damaging global on ST my friend
Do not skip it
Those tree murder shit
prot doesnt even have consecration at that lvl
pretty shitty
20
hes like 4 levels off thats 2 dungeons
however should also say
dungeons arent really faster
lvling is pretty damn quick right now
Even speedrunning dungeons questing is approximately the same
Key is finding the densly packed quests with no travel time
tyyy
If you have a full group, dungeoning is Miles faster. There’s not enough grouped quests with little travel time to make up the walk in dungeon clear dungeon reset and back in
Now when you get to outlands, questing is probably faster yea
Dungeons are largely overrated. I think people just don’t know how to quest efficiently. Or they get stuck a lot
mangle -> rake
or
rake -> mangle
Rake imo. Since the dot is still buffed
Any advice on bear tanking at level 20? I feel squishy as hell 😦

Enrage before the pull so you go in with extra rage with out the debuff, Swipe/Maul, Demoralize and then Swipe again as soon as you can...tell your DPS to hold back till they see the second swipe/maul on single target...Growl is ranged now so keep that in mind...and don't forget to maintain Demoralize, it adds up to a decent chunk of mitigation over the course of a pull.
also take SI...its a 3 min CD but will save your bacon in a pinch
ONE MORE THING: WoWhead has leveling guides for WotLK ferals
finaly
AND ONE MORE THING: carry healing Pots with you...we can use them while shapeshifted now.
ONE MORE THING: pre-HoT your self for that little extra Survivability/Threat at the beginning of the Pull
expecting people to wait for like 5s before dpsing isnt happening
but also dps tanking some stuff is fine
oh i know...but if i tell them to wait and they don't? yeah that's not on me
if you have unreasonable expectations
yes it kinda is on you
like ofc dps which keep pulling when healer is oom and you wait for them, that obviously isnt on you but you giving up on trying to get threat cause the guy didnt wait for 2 of your casts that is on you/you going oom and needing to regen if you wanna cast heals for every pull that also is on you
oh i still try...but i don't accept blame for bad dps...DPS should know to handle their own threat(don't start AoE till tank has threat, save your big burst till tank safetly has threat, don't stand in avoidable shit, don't run around like a chicken with it's head cut off if you get aggro...that kinda thing.)
IF the dps would blame you for threat assuming you taunt on cd sure
havent made that experience while lvling recently at all tho
especially with how easy low lvl dungeons are now with wrath talents
Why is there a good amount of talk about brutal staff or brutal mace for feral
But not polearm
Is the polearm no good?
can druids learn polearm?
Of course lol
Think it's cos mace and staff give better/more stats than the polearm
Druids don't learn polearm until cata iirc
no they learn it in wrath
Damn I'm slipping
but didnt before wrath
in wotlk pvp what are the best professions for resto
can I learn it already in prepatch?
yes
at what lvl can I learn flying form? 68?
maybe it behind the quest?
oh so first i learn riding and then trainer will have it
yes
damn i was confused
(obviously this is about the 150% flying form)
the 280 you need 71 or do the quest with the 300 flying
just here to say that feral in classic somehow feels better than feral in shadowlands
Hello. Returning player that skipped tbc thinking of switching main to druid from priest, both at 60 right now. I usually avoid too much research, however...
If I go feral to check out tanking, would it get crazy to change track to resto?
My thoughts are that perhaps some reputation / quest rewards will get skipped, but I am unaware of details as I mained a rogue in wotlk08.
not sure what you mean, reputations arent unique
and its not classic so quest rewards arent absurd
being unaware, I left it open if there were unique reputation rewards unknown to me
that's because this is just the start of blizz making our damage tied to our DoTs more than our actions.
I think the only thing that matters for resto is a TBC quest relic?
just dinged 50 and can i say...Mangle feels so GOOD
isnt that also how it still works on retail?
Whats the most OP leveling spec to quickly get a druid to 70?
I think feral
Dinged 70 with my Drood just recently. Been downranking in TBC but how relevant is downranking spells in pre-patch and in WotLK? Still a thing? What spells would it concern?
Never
no one spec rules at this time, Boomy is good at the early levels before you start getting the more juicy Feral abilities and then switch to Feral around 32ish, at 50 you get Mangle which will make you feel like a god til around 65 and after that Feral and Boomy are kinda neck and neck for leveling speed...i know that in OG Wrath a well played Boomy was ungodly at leveling...pull whole zones and wipe em out for some of the fastest leveling in WoW
Is cat form have no aoe in wotlk?
On ptr I maxed riding and druid trainer still doesnt offer me 280 flyform. Is it behind quest?
Trainer is in mulgore
quest or lvl 71
cat form has aoe in wotlk
swipe
oh gotcha
to clarify Swipe(Cat) is not available till 71
if you want to AOE at this time its bear form or Hurricane
was feral good back in LK guys? I started playing it in MoP
Yes it's fine
Feral DPS was very solid
Good damage. A fine tank. Even if you’re not wanting to tank much, being willing to tank the 10mans for your 25man guild will help secure spots
Has blizz mentioned when transfers will be allowed to the fresh servers?
I read somewhere there is a 90 day restriction, that's it?
they've said atleast 90 days but it's not a set amount of time and they're willing to push that back etc so it's really just up to them whenever they feel like it
I wish there was a Glyph of Ferocious Bite...that would make it so that it DIDN'T use extra energy to do extra Damage...
The dream
Legitimately stupid that feral had to not use it's finisher if they have more than 40
to be fair we are SUPPOSED to be using Rip over FB...it's just that with the suggested talents Rip is overkill
Right but during bers
it's to the point where i just use a mangle to finish off a opponent even at 5 CP
it's more energy efficient
hey guys! i hit level 68 today and heard we can get our swift flight forms at that level, is that true? and if so how do i obtain it? I dont see it available for the trainer like the first 150% speed form was
ahhh okay, thank you!
oh yeah there's no way im getting that anytime soon, that's a lot of gold haha
pretty sure that also was never true
before prepatch 68 was the time you could get normal flying as a druid
oh i know that much, but someone said i had to be 68 to get the swift form
ohhh okay, so i still need the 4k gold p much
i didnt play in BC i just came back on a new toon so i dont have much gold haha, gonna have to figure out a way to make more
Clear all the quests in outland puts you around 5k
should i at least get to level 70 beforehand?
Oh, you should be fine to level as well
It's the exalted with stormwind that'll take time to save that 1k
why would you want exalted with stormwind
or do those trainers also have flying available
The trainer in honor hold is on SW faction
The one in smv is on no faction and won't give a discount
Flip side, orgrimmar and thrallmar
hu interesting yea
Idk if they are still elites but the mobs in Eastern plague Land tyrs hand were amazing for cash and rune cloth
just checked the wowhead
To grind out the faction
would prolly be better to farm gold other way and buy runecloth if you wanna have that
but yea does look like you need OG/SW rep
I did 10k in a day there but that was before bandages got nerfed
10k gold?
Since each mob would drop 5-6 cloth each
Yeah, they're all 58 elites that dropped 30 - 50s each lots of greens and grey's with cloth
But from what I can tell, the classic realm have neutered drops in place
I'm talking back in 2007 to get my original epic flight heh sorry.
thats with current runecloth prices about 100g
Yeah probably faster to just grind a dungeon or 2 now
yea did a bunch of dumb farms back in the day too
Does phase 4 tbc get easier during wrath pre raid? I was looking over pre raid bis and its telling you to have gear from swp and bt. I just hit 70 not to long ago so all this is unachievable for me right now
just dont get full pre raid bis?
absolutely no reason to try to do that
you will be fine
👍
You can level and dungeon in WotLK just fine starting with TBC questing gear.
Yea as long as you’re in some blues, maybe get the 2-4 free purples from scourge event you’ll be just fine for wotlk
After which time after you casted mana starts to regen?
5s as in the spirit based without talents
Do you happen to know how long is the aftercast delay after which autoattack can go off? Is it depends on weapon speed?
pretty sure cast just resets swing timer
seems like that
trying to decide between druid and warrior tank for wrath, does swipe scale a lot harder than it currently does? I picked up my t4/za geared bear and swipe...just doesnt seem to hit that hard or do enough threat, I have the 30% inc dmg talent. Is there something else I may be missing?
warrior aoe threat seems good/fun but i seem to have a lot of struggles on the same content as a bear
Nope sadly swipe stays pretty meh, it'll hold aggro but you won't be bursting hard with it
Warriors are crazy good right now but yeah bur is a brick,
Bear tanks are not known for their Threat but more for the ability to survive...what would kill a War a Bear asks "was that a Fly?"
I'm literally soloing level appropriate dungeon trash onmy war in greens while my druid in t5 is having a hard time with normal sethekk
In wotlk warriors are scary durable, bears are too, but the damage gap is real
interesting
a not so subtle reminder that this isn't WotLK Reduxe but instead WotLK CLASSIC...not everything is gonna be the same as it was back then
hey as a feral in wotlk you want a weapon with high dmg and low weapon speed right? since weapon speed doesnt matter as a feral
