Sometimes playing on other platforms ie: linux (which the steam deck runs), some of these DRMs make it literally impossible to play games, playing a pirated copy will often save you hours. But that's a totally different reason than "I'm cool I pirate to not give companies money"

making him skinny wasn't the intent of the five minute edit

it was the proportions, you could give him a belly or make him wider, it's more about the size of the head, the length of the arm and the waist

also the placement of the belt is very unfortunate

i moved that down - but that alone wouldn't fix the skewed proportions imo, from all the sources we have to reference on what a keeper looks like

people fought me in another discord and it was some clique-y bullshit, antagonizing me for saying something about it, and then playing the victim because I was very much not going to pretend the proportions were acceptable to me, like "omg how dare you say it doesn't meet your expectations, clearly what you meant is that if it meets my standards there's something wrong with me and you're an elitist and our opinions don't mean anything"... like no, your opinions don't have to mean anything - to me - they can mean something to -you-, but as someone who played WC since WC2 in elementary school, actual decades ago - I think I have the right to say "this does not look like a keeper of the grove to me, this is not an improvement from what we had, I don't think this matches the established aesthetic, please do better Blizzard"

and i have the right to say i think they're wrong - and then an argument happens, where we just keep saying the other person is wrong. so instead of starting an argument, some people, like those in the other discord, should be able to present their opinion and move on, because clearly the person who brought it up feels a certain way, and was looking for people who feel similarly, it's been established when someone says they don't feel the same way, if they keep argueing they're the one who wants a fight... and it's one thing if they come at you with facts and sources, examples, but if they just keep saying "no shut up, your opinion is wrong, this topic makes me angry, you make me angry, how dare you have anything to say, and now i'm going to intentionally misinterpret what you said to paint you as a villain" it's a problem

it literally just doesn't contribute to a discussion or do anything positive when someone keeps saying "well, my opinion!" ok, you expressed your opinion, now we'll talk about the things outside opinions, like I did, bringing up how Cenarius looked in Legion and how they looked as far back as WC3 concept art

I could, but why should the person who cared enough to bring up the discussion be "scared away" from it by one person, or even a few very vocal people, disagreeing with them? Especially if there are people who do agree?

And in both situations there actually -were- more people who agreed, and the people who didn't agree just wouldn't let it go, for reasons unfathomable.
