In rbgs balance is nearly always night fae, they're trying to nuke with convoke and mastery helps with that. Many are also switching to tank on some maps ... vers/mastery is better for tanking also.

WW worked best for me getting 2.1 - can do nice dmg, stay on target, probably run/heal without you losing dps uptime to help them during incarn. Outside of incarn you just peel/heal them. dk/ret/war/dh, at least the ones I played with, were all too easy to kill. V much possible with healers but then you're aiming to win in 2/3rd incarn window instead of first 40s. hPriest and rSham are both super hard to kill with all their cds, every other healer you can melt.

What I find interesting @tropic schooner is I’ve seen talents on twitter from wotlk that look insane and would break retail. Like mages have echoing resolve. Kinda nuts that stuff like that isn’t so oppressive in wotlks game design but wouldn’t be ok retail

but also as I said there are ofc issues which a lot of people ignore like people saying there are no rng resists in wrath are just dumb you have specs like assa and ret having 4% miss chance - the sacred cleansing talent I believe by holy pala - yep pve gear is quite important, pretty sure spec diversity in wotlk will be lower compared to retail too also some people have a hatred of tank specs which will be more popular in wrath too

But in my last game, I slowed down for my healers, and people told me I was doing "literally the opposite" of what I should be doing.

Flag maps are rough because you have to gauge where your team is and the enemies. It’s usually better to stall a bit and let EFC pick or go when your team is winning mid control on first pick
You will want to have healers probably in mid already and defense catch you and run with you after you make it out with incarn and the dps to run interference by peeling dps or just killing them
Sometimes having a healer follow partway is fine, but they will often get ccd or slowed and you will outrun them if you just go fast with move speed and no slows due to incarn
So unless they sit a lot back and you need them, or you are later in a game and don’t have incarn to run through and will need the constant support, they need to be positioning themselves better to help with team fight and then split off to guard you as needed

none of the other damage legos synergize with night fae playstyle and you can still one shot with convoke without a damage lego so you can afford to play a defensive lego which synergizes well with the NF playstyle which is to basically continue to live until convoke kills someone
if you really dont want to play natural orders will for some reason you could play frenzyband as a meme, or you can play draught to try and have more meaningful bleed damage while you run around

Frenzyband provides a nearly meaningless amount of cdr and the bleed damage during berserk is very small
I think the most I've ever seen mentioned was like 20k damage (over 20 seconds)
If you're necro there's really no reason to not play draught outside of some certain match ups where you would potentially benefit from circle

YSK venthyr guardian is one of, if not THE, strongest dps in the game while incarn/ravenous frenzy are running. NF is better defensively but venth is frankly a lot more fun, especially on maps like gilneas/deepwind/kotmogu/carts/eots where you can reliably get a target rich environment to annihilate enemy team. Run sharpened claws, incarn/rf and thrash/maul to 100k+ dps

Each dot/hot only counts for itself. If you have 2 rakes but 1 rip the rip will be buffed, the rakes wont.
