The only thing that matters vs rm is living the go til your healer can top u and countergo. Emblem and bear ursine is way more value from effective HP than any amount of dmg absorb from a damped aegis (thats also only half value for anything but resonators). It's a question of the increased hp pool making you survive for longer regardless of the absorb dmg reduction benefit of aegis
