Oh I don't play it for the cdr. The bleeds lowkey pretty amazing with convoke, can end up doing the same damage as sickle just from the convoke go if your convoke rng is bad and you get mostly spenders. Found it's a pretty greay way to make convoke more "reliable".

On paper I would have guessed Circle would be the leader simply to switches or a cleave (even accidental). Can anyone share their thought on why Draught is the more popular choice?

In what scenario are you finding yourself 1v1 with a Ret?
If you are holding the flag that increased damage is going to get you. Kite, clone, etc to get as much distance as you can. You have to have help from your teammates if you can't kite. Try not to be 1 v 1 against a Ret or any big burst class.
Basesitting, use com's. Stay stealthed as long as possible. Spin from range with Moonfire. If you see him running at you, mini incarn (with Sleeper Lego) to avoid the hammer. Shift out of slows if there is enough distance, NF blink. Pray that your team gets to you quick. No need to go toe to toe when your job is to avoid a base cap. If they are chasing you, they aren't spinning the node.

draught is better cause it doesn't fuck u up : )
u r never gonna maintain more than 1 set of bleeds anyway
and with circle u will have less energy to spend on maims etc as u have to reapply bleeds constantly
