@vague blade dispel is actually a really important CD. idk what your partner(s) is in the arena, but if they dispel a root on the DH, you can get full other things. a full fear, or a full mindgames, or a full malediction shackles, or even just knowing that your Adaptive Swarm cant be dispelled if you GO soon afterwards. If you play like Feral/Mage dispelling a full root means eating a full polymorph. There's a dispel tracker tied to Gladius frames that i really had to train myself to watch this season.
also you can always just half root them 😄 its still 4 seconds where they just sit and cry.

freanzy regen was nerfed from 85% effective in pvp
to 65%
with more gear and conduit ilvl u get
the freanzy will heal more and more
and the auto proc on it
will be way lower than it is

You've still got your empower that syncs up with root beam cd and fury of elune for a juicy minutely go with whatever partner, be it havoc, shadow, elemental or whatever.

It's not just meter padding, there's value in doing it, even if it feels kinda lame. Drains enemy mana pools, slowly erodes defensives, etc. Boomkin just aren't good at bursting things in teamfights ... starsurge spam is too slow, convoke finds too many targets, too easy to get shut down.
