Not being Necrolord feels bad because being necrolord provides so much to the kit that it doesn't currently have in the form of dispel protection and resilience to hard swaps, but most games don't come down to those things. I'd probably gain rating by being necrolord, but it's more likely 100 rating rather than 500 rating.

Whether it's viable really depends on what level you're aiming to play
