If you're necro, AS and Moonfire don't scale with mastery, they scale with haste tho, and crit is generally more valuable if your damage is reliant on big bites. Mastery still very good, but haste is better if you're necro than it is if you're not just cuz of how your damage breakdown looks.

Question, I decided to swap my off spec to Boomy since I had a Full 226 feral and guardian set........and I mainly play Guardian in RBGs, and Feral in Arena........but I wanted to play Boomy in RBGs to complement my Guardian better........
I saved up the conquest to buy the 226 PVP weapon, but in my chest this week I got a 226 staff and the 226 PVP off hand.
So, I wonder, should I use the staff and buy more haste/vers armor (since I only have half a set) or should I just blow the conquest on the 226 haste/vers staff that I could upgrade eventually?
or, should I buy the main hand PVP mace to pair with the lyre? and then buy some armor
Is a 226 staff > 226 m+o weapons with the same stats?
If not, then it seems to make sense to buy the main hand PVP weapon and another piece of armor, and be more efficient with my conquest points.

Ah, so it seems that my dilemma is this now. I can get the Off, purchase the Main, and save some Conq to buy more haste/vers gear
Or.....
I could spend more conq to get the haste/vers staff...........but it would cost me 1 piece of haste/vers armor.
Granted I could just use verse/mastery gear I already have..........

Yea it would be stuck at 226, so it seems like there is negligible deltas between staff versus main+off. So basically I would be sacrificing haste on my weapon for quicker access to haste/vers armor

That's because you can easily not entering melee range so you would not need those defense spells from bear?

I play vs. affliction locks becuase it helps me with mana for those long damp games and makes it easier for me to dispel UAs with regen, dks I run it cuz grip set ups are nasty and I feel I get more value from regen than cat stuns
