Hello fellow pvpers, i more or less started playing wow and especially pvp going into shadowlands. i started out as shadowpriest but i dont really the low mobility the playstyle offers, so switched to disc and like it a lot more - currently sitting at around really low 1k-1.1k cr. Im looking to do another dmg caster and am debating going boomkin or mage because in my arenas facing both classes they feel a lot more mobile and lot less susceptible to kicks/stuns/melee trains! do you guys have some advise for a noob like me which class i should go for in their current form in pvp?

speaking as a boomkin player its alright in arena, it kinda sucks in 2s but does well in 3s

very mobile, very tanky

often relies a lot on teammates damage to land kills

boomkin is also not always meta or that playable in arena, right now its good but that can change. i cant remember the last time mage wasnt top tier

if you have interest in rated battlegrounds boomkin blows fire mage completely out of the water there though, boomkin is probably the single best class for RBGs almost always

whereas fire mage can barely get an invite to a real RBG group

It depends on what you are looking for

Mage is generally safe to learn cuz it's a pure dps class that's pretty much always meta, and all specs are the same role

Compared to boomie which is up and down, and your other specs are all different roles

Which is kinda the draw of the class to begin with

Yeah cat-eye and fearful symmetry both have a similar type of impact where they just make your Berserk a bit stronger/quicker burst with sequence of Bites. With Symmetry you can do 5 > 4 > 4 cp bites 3 globals in a row, and with Cat-eye you can just pool a lot of energy to do Bite Shred Bite Shred for longer.
