It's not perfect

Especially mid combat

As you cast spells before and after

If i remember correctly there are 3 conquest item where i have to take mastery (with crit as alternative). Plus if you get the 1hand/offhand combination it would be 5 pieces with mastery right there

Sometimes Convoke wins you a game from the brink of defeat, sometimes you get a great setup and your Convoke does jack fucking shit. Kyrian is generally better, just more consistent and a solid dmg buff.
