My experience with it is that I always got similar amounts of Bites whether Convoke used FF or not it felt like FF replaced Shred, tho some people say FF has equal chances of replacing any spell in Convoke. It's for the most part a non-change, it only uses FF about 20% of the time, and it's a strong dot but doesn't do any upfront burst that helps Convoke 100-0 someone.
