Both are pretty good right now, play the spec you like best. Some people find balance frustrating cuz you don't have lockdown for kill target so enemy can run and line your burst cds.
Sleeper is probably bis for teamfight maps that you aren't FCing

As feral, I do not feel useless at all without convoke. Its mostly a bonus, or a tool for baiting kicks and peels.

You arent gonna get opened on, your rsham should be able to stay alive 1v1 with the fire mage until rogue opens, then you stun rogue and blast. Decide between you and your healer who's gonna use which cds when. Generally you dont want to trinket until you see either Combustion or Shadow Blades, it's all just a matter of not overspending your cds.

aff's burst isn't as frontloaded as destro, and feral is very frontloaded, so as long asyour feral knows to burst after your aff sets up should be fine
but if you dont kill inside burst it'll fuck you
