imo boat is really strong even in pvp. Your kills typically come from pooling AP and dumping starsurges with root beam goes. Having a ton of extra crit for everyone one of those goes is huge. 3 crit starsurges can just win a game on the spot.

I think communicating burst windows with my partners is probably how I can climb better. Im not killing anyone by myself outside of convoke, but can easily do 60-80% of their hp pretty often

Honestly I'm not a huge fan of convoke. As a resto/feral main I play necro and much prefer that playstyle. I would much rather dot rot games then basically oneshotting with convoke but it's strong so it gets played and if you like that kind of thing then it works out great for you I guess
