for resto i'd say it depends if you can keep up with healing without covenant ability. if yes then night fae's offensive capability will be amazing for 2s. and in 3s vs rot comps you get to top team with 1 free of mana ability. but if it turns out that we struggle to keep partners alive (we alone should be fine with either night fae or necro) then necro is hard to pass on. Main issue for me is how crappy necro is in pve. altho i wouldnt say it is dogshit, you still get 30% boost of healing on tank for 12 sec every 25 sec
what kinda kills necro for me is that it is prolly the worse covenant for all other specs, in every situation ๐

I play a lot of guardian in m+(don't raid) and necro looks like it's gonna be okay for kittyweave in m+(couple of legendaries,high uptime)... healing wise a bit weak in pve but not awful, weak aoe heal strong single target heal. feral off spec is gonna be fine with necro+legendary I think and healing pvp (my main pvp) - swarm can be purged but high uptime and your hots are getting purged anyway
also style and ultimately the soulbind, cc immunity sounds good

Hi everyone! Feral solo main since 2005, absolutely adore this class and the utility it provides in WPvP and BGs. I remember seeing that Necrolord was the PvP Covenant due to the bleed buff, but now I'm having trouble finding that info. I don't want to roll with the necrolords and would MUCH prefer Night Fae I think, any thoughts on the viability for them? I plan to arena, BG, and WPvP primarily

There is arguement to not go Necrolord in PvP, but it's not stricly better than NightFae, it's just more consistent and easier to make work
Night Fae has more upside, but requires more setup. You need to CC without them having trinket or bait kicks before using it, but if you manage to use it well, you get more upside.

Also, in Pve it's very easy to say "X convenant is strictly better than Y", because if it sims higher, it's just better most likely. In PvP, it's not as straight forward.
One might be better in more circumstance, but it doesn't invalidate the other as much as the PvE choices

Kyrian will likely be the strongest option for Balance; you will not be linking with your teammate. 1 minute % damage increase synergises well. Night Fae is not ideal (AI is bad, hits pets/clone, wasted spells), Venthyr can be strong in big setups, but has the Destro Infernal problem that people will run at high stacks. Necrolord is okay with Cycle of Life and Death legendary but not as strong as Kyrian for now.
Palagos will likely be our Soulbind of choice.

Cat curio looks like very strong in PvE, and so in PvP too, depends if we will be energy starved or not.
The Fearful could be really good too

Circle of life and death can also be really strong. Deals more damage in less time and same for the heal. but this means you have to reapply bleeds more.
