@willow yacht Master Shapshifter only provides 30% increase to bleed damage in feral affinity, it no longer just flat increases all damage by 25% while in kitty form (so no more moonfire tick damage increases, or big resto bites lol).

I’ll be doing feral affinity still for now. Just cause Maim / rake stun is too juicy to let go of.
It just means that cat weaving will be a little less rewarding when not pressuring with maim or a rake...like swapping to cat form for the higher moonfire ticks and such
However, remember that rip does same damage at any combo point (in a sense minus uptime), so if you rake stun, rip and plop a moonfire after, you will still get some juicy dots off early. And if you can even get 2 shreds in there into a maim, even better
Will see how things play out. Convoke the spirits in cat form with HOTW going, can still be juicy as well,especially if you lure a melee around pillar with you.

I think he uses the pvp legendary (with kitty affinity) for the increase in movement speed and the free 10 sec Hotw when he switches to kitty form for boost of damage. In addition to the NF soulbind trait of getting even more movement speed for 5 secs (wild hunt tactics).
I think his style of play is all about speed and getting more damage pressure vs increasing Hots with swiftmend.

Just have to know when enemy set up is, and keep up pre HOT. And keep pressure if you are aggro build, to prevent being on the back foot.
I’ve been messing around with Feral affinity still, and it seems to be useful even after nerf. The rake stun is just too good IMO, especially on restealths. And maim is still super useful too.

I’m not a glad so I can’t speak to that bracket. I will say though, if it’s 2s the pressure from feral is good if you can get used to it. But guardian is still very viable, into 3s I sometimes choose guardian if I think I am going to get run down.
Maybe someone here can speak to that further. To me it really just comes to play style...but there may be something more technical to it.
I think to climb, it is whatever. But I think to be competitive at a higher level, more pressure is a better pay off.

Yea really can’t go wrong with either, long story short. And idk about balance affinity, I know I’m running it in M+ prolly since it has insane burst with convoke. But I struggle to see any use in arena as resto. Maybe I’m wrong idk...but any time spent free casting is going to be for clones/roots/regrowths if you can. I don’t see you being able to hit lunar phase and the big bursts fast enough.

@lean oar honestly I think Eye of Fearful Symmetry will best leggo for feral arena. Synergy between that and new rank of berserk means you can just spam bites into people during berserk
You get 2 combo points back after bite, then berserk can give you 3 i think if your shred crits, so it could end up going feral frenzy > tigers fury > berserk > fero bite > shred > bite > shred > bite then convoke

@frank crown one thing that's pretty lame tho (not sure if it's a bug) is the 2nd FR from HOTW isn't used first. so if you have 1 charge of FR on cd and 1 available when HOTW is ending you'll be left with 0 charges when it ends. seems like it should use the bonus charge first and leave you your base charge but it doesn't behave that way
maybe matters less for the HOTW talent but for the leggo that could come up a lot with guardian affinity
