there are some cases where you may want the extra versatility from a conquest item
but crafting is very flexible. keep in mind to look up what your class wants for tier items.
but once you have your classes 2/4p, you can safely craft your offsets. check murlok.io to figure out what the best players of your class are doing in shuffle, 3s, 2s, blitz etc

Yeah you're mostly fine to buy the non-crit item from conquest vendor on all armor and just use crafted neck and rings to optimize 2ndary stats further if you're playing a new toon

It's all sbout how much versatility you want. The difference between every offset item crafted vs everything but one ring crafted is about 8 or 90percent versatility (if you craft stat + versatility on the crafted items, more if you craft ex haste mastery) so conquest items are gunna make you take about 4percent less damage as a flat value
Some classes want as much of that as possible, some classes don't care.
I wouldn't be playing any melee (idk about dk, maybe they could) with less than 30percent versatility right now but lots of casters are running less
But as face said, you're good to buy any conquest item with no crit unless you're doing something really weird and cooking something

Normal mp5 on water shield is 2000. Because of a bug with earth shield. They fixed that bug. But incidentally because of earth shield fix the mp5 on water shield is now 20,000. When they tried to fix the 20k mp5 bug the original earth shield bug came back so they said fuck it. So they left water shield returning 10x the mana it’s supposed to. This all happened late s2 and pvers just walked in knowing that it’s bugged mana and we’re getting 20k mp5/10x return all tier and we shouldn’t.
But for some reason in PvP it’s 36,000 mp5

you have to play better than the enemy team or you lose for free and most of your fights are going to be 1vx or 2vx with no healer
and they don't need to kill you just kill 1 of you etc
and healers are so strong that being at man disadvantage for xyz in team fight might not even mean a teamfight swings etc
