late on this but don't listen to these people, if you want to plug and play you absolutely can and the campaign is kinda sick. if you want to endgame either: follow a guide or read the whole wiki (unironically)
that said a lot of the stuff you said you didn't like about d4 is present in poe, speed removing meaningful gameplay loops as far as piloting your character and the gameplay loop becomes generating currency to fund item acquisition to fund player power/speed to fund item acsquisition.

On top of Fellowship having no content outside of it to maintain a playerbase that only occasionally engages with M+, what I've heard is that it's impossible to play casually without a full premade without feeling griefed.
It's long queue times for a game with nothing to do in between, and once you get a match, everybody will vote for the highest key level and if you arent up to par you just wasted 20 mins time.

This is kind of a fundamental issue with feral for a long time though, there are seasons where cat has actually been tanky enough to stay cat basically perma and it felt amazing to play and oppressive to play against. Most recent memory is haste stacking necrolord feral in shadowlands
But when cat form is easily threatened and forced off and you need to bear and kite your damage suffers so bad

I think problem I see is that the busted classes all have big burst moments. The meta is too fast that to be strong, you need burst. Feral obviously doesn’t have this kinda burst and we’re more rot. Meta just doesn’t favor rot specs rn. And yeah we die quickly to those burst specs unless we can rotate well with our healer but that’s harder to do in shuff

And 80percent minion damage with spiritual command makes that 1 node give you 80percent asp and increased damage, minion attack speed affects you from tree, and you can link skeletons into your main link and they're good already for free, warcrys effect both of you (rallying cry gives then your full weapon damage, infernal cry gives them 50percent phys as fire, battlemage cry gives both you and minion 5percent flat crit etc) with siones roar flesh/flame

Almost every caster wants haste in PvP. Fast cc casts, less chance to be kicked when you do have to cast, quicker globals, faster resource gen. Fire mage is possibly the only caster I can think of that doesn’t want haste.

Moment of clarity, haste while tf both okay. Moonfires biggest draw is being able to generate combo points at range for cheap energy so you can 5p combo first gcd when you reconnect
But you can play without.
All talents in that area will give you like 3-5percrent dam so they don't matter but moonfire does it from ranged and moment of clarity doesn't

Yeah I mean it's just a maintenance dot, can use it in opener instead of brutal slash if you want, good damage per energy, and yeah, ranged combo point generator
maintain 100percent uptime on 3 target to optimize, but don't use it if you're going for kill because it does low upfront
and brutal slash will do more immediate damage etc
