There are people that play purely for the gearing part of it and start an alt after they're caught up

But you can also just use gearing as a progressing measure too

If you were playing the whole season, you can reach a plateau based on your groups or your personal skill, but still progress as new weeks come because you're going up in gear

I was rank 14 druid back in vanilla, coming back after 15 years I feel like specialized roles kind of ruined what I liked about pvp. Is there a general consensus on a good pvp spec? I'm currently guardian for mythics and it feels like all I can do is sit in bear.

Generally speaking the game doesnt have 'the pve spec vs the pvp spec' type of deal that existed before

Just tanks that are more unwelcome than the other roles

So you're gonna be better off thinking about what role you wanna play and what spec you vibe with more

It all changes with tuning. Right now, feral is rly strong, mainly in arena. Balance is good overall but shines more in BGs rn.
