In the orb map you can grab the orb and sit in bear form pretty much and be a budget tank

You have lots of options it depends on your team comp and what you’re comfortable doing. Normally I just take primal wrath and aoe pad team fights and do the most damage cause it helps my ego and when we lost it’s not my fault (sort by damage)

It's just the nature of things in a multiplayer game where ppl will flock to whatever is the strongest in droves even if the gained advantage is really small.
You still have a lot of ppl using Orc on BM Hunter because it makes your pets do more damage.

Especially when you go on Murlock and see 48 of the top 50 rogues are night elf.
Back in the day Horde was known as the PvP faction....and currently it is Alliance. When I returned I had multiple people tell me to go alliance. Because " all of the serious pvp players played ally." So there is definitely a culture surrounding alliance being considered the pvp faction. And my queue times are longer on ally as well which also suggests more ally are queueing
I have four 80s two ally and two horde. I lose bgs on both. But I feel like I have more close losses on ally and more blowout losses on horde. But it's not super noticeable.
Where I notice it the most is getting air drops in open world. I've only ever gotten like 3 on my horde in the last two months and my first day of being 80 on my ally I got like 3-4 airdrops almost all of them non contested. And when I try to get airdrops on my horde I'm always trying to 2v10

I will say when it comes to making and gearing a new character, I'd rather go horde, and get less airdrops and win less bgs and have quicker queue times if I'm a DPS. Because hopefully even if I'm losing more games I'm getting into them fast enough to make up the difference

People take it in dps 2s and use it as a huge heal
You also need dots on everyone in range or else some of the spells are going to be application of dots. It’s just so annoying. I usually just maintain dots on target and off target

It depends on the build but it’s leaning more to instants with casts just being filler to get you into eclipse and build ap. There are still wrath/starfire spam build options but not many people take that stuff rn
