I wish 90% of PvP players could express the issues with a problem in PvP without immediately jumping to either the most extreme opposite situation as an answer or wanting to go scorched earth on the game mode.

Blizzard have restricted the strength of addons like WeakAuras before without completely nuking them from existence.

Delete all addons is an insane solution to the question of the current strength of addons in PvP though.

And I keep seeing it being echoed.

I don't trust Blizzard to build a good default UI for Arena.

The biggest benefit for mes WA and bigdebuffs on nameplates is that it trivializes that specific skill to parse icons on unit frames buffs/debuffs to recognize a player has pressed a CD or not and now has the respective buff. And that’s also a failing of blizz UI. I don’t think WAs for how a lot of people use it is particularly game breaking

ability bloat is a thing in XIV too, but they have a nice controller setup that gives you almost an infinite number of buttons. Pretty sure wow "supports" controllers now, just not as well, and you prob still need addons
