anyway, the difference between 2x hunt, 2x arcanoweave or 1x arcano+1x hunt is all within like 0.1% of each other
so whatever one is best depends on what you have available
if you crafted gloves for prog early you probably want to go 2x arcanoweave, but when you have maxed out myth gloves it increases the value of a crafted off-hand etc
if you wanna be optimal and do 2x arcano you need to socket a crafted belt and crafted wrists
which is still a few weeks away assuming you crafted for prog

I just switched to Boomie and havent really played it since Undermine. When reading through a lot of the priority lists I see we always want to cast Starfall with Touch of the Cosmos, why is this? Is it 'simply' the 40% chance for a starsurge proc?
Also, I feel my damage is really lackluster (still working on getting more uptime, was at around 85% last raid), how huge is the Gaze/Vaelgor trinkets? I doubt it's a 'this will fix everything' kind of thing. I currently have a Myth Soulcatcher and Hero Emberwing (hope to get either of the others from a HC raid tomorrow).

Hello everyone, I have a question about my rotation for the single-target Boomy build at the end of the eclipse (the last 3 seconds). Should I:
1 - Spend all my astral power until the end of the eclipse (to make the most of the eclipse buff) and then cast Wrath at the end of the eclipse to replenish my astral power so I can cast another eclipse once my astral power has been replenished
or
2 - In the last 3 seconds of my eclipse, cast Wraths to replenish my astral power and immediately follow the end of my current eclipse with a new one, as my astral power will already be replenished. (But I won’t be making the most of the eclipse buff in that case.)

Hello everyone, I have a question about my rotation for the single-target Boomy ...
Realistically it's a little bit of both, depending on whatever the fight wants from you and whatever your current cooldown is on Eclipse or CA/Incarn
Ideally you do number 1 where you pool AP and procs for your Eclipse window and then make sure to end your Eclipse with as little resources as possible
But imagine you're currently in Eclipse, the buff is gonna last 5 more seconds, your current recharge on Eclipse is sub-20 seconds and you also have Incarn+Trinket ready
the variables there can get a little confusing so sticking to a single rule of "pool in Eclipse and spend at end of Eclipse" can be wrong
I think, when your Eclipse is about to end, you should be aware of what your next cooldown use is of CA/Incarn or Eclipse
and then treat the time between according to that
if it was up to me I'd make it so CA/Incarn extends your current Eclipse, is castable while casting, and re-procs every "entering Eclipse does X" effect
think that would fix most of the CD struggles the spec has

I was looking at archon, which no I don't use that as an absolute reference point for data but it does outline that on average it's about 1.1k mastery, 750 haste and about 500-600 crit. Of course I would sim anyways, that's what I already do, conversation was just more based around what boomies most favorable stats are because objectively speaking it appears to be mastery/haste, which brings me back to my original question about whether or not voidsong chain or eye of midnight are worth getting hype about or not, but I think likely not
