So I'm just picking up Balance. I have a very dumb question that I'm getting confused on. I get that with single target in Eclipse I want to be casting as many Starsurge/Starfalls as possible. The question I have is do I want to spam Starfall until out of AP or do I cast Starfall then Starsurge to prevent capping and Starfire to build AP?

cedabec, the way it works, its you want to spend as most as possible when you have all the bonus up, when you have around 5 seconds of eclipse left, you kinda want to build up your AP from there, and end around 60-80 if possible so you can enter eclipse right behind it 🙂 hope that kind of make it clear or so, but also remember every situation is different depending on the pack and if he is about to die or no

If that's not how it works then great! I'm coming from Resto Sham to now Resto Druid since my group now has 2 other Resto Shams and they can't play any other class for healing. So I'm trying to make sure I'll be useful if I need to swing into a DPS role as I prefer range (and suck at melee in general) . Appreciate all the info shared so far.

the Starsurge/Starfall and Wrath kinda go hand in hand
you want to spend all 3 ascendant eclipse stacks and then build AP before using cooldowns
then you Sunfire before cooldowns
Whether that means you end up sending at 8 seconds, 10 seconds or 15 seconds kinda depends how many spender procs you get in that window

since the only things you want to do before your first cooldown is Eclipse on pull (to get Eclipse on cooldown) and spend the apex talent buffs (or else they're wasted when you press incarn) and then build enough AP + spender procs to be able to send 3 spenders as your first 3 casts in cooldowns
