The cap for the damage you can accumulate to the 4pc is also not very high so damage done after Convoke doesn't matter as much

There's an argument to be made that Whirling Stars and Control of the Dream makes CD planning too sophisticated and has issues with approachability, which they care a lot about now in regards with the pruning of spells and interactions
