The moonkin example is casting generators outside of eclipse. Instead you'll always be casting spells you want to cast instead of casting spells to get to you set up for casting your good spells.

What exactly is it that seems to have balance usually tuned at pretty low single target. is that something systemic because the ST is hard to buff without also buffing the aoe, or is it because blizzard says: the focus of moonkin should be spread/uncapped aoe so we "intentionally" keep them mid on ST?

treants are you main buff, not CA. CA is dogshit so 'wasting' it isn't an issue. better to get your dryad buff early so you can get buffed surges within the treant window
