So, here’s the breakdown — and tell me if I’m cooked or if this actually looks about right:
KotG: +4.7% single-target
EC: ~+2% overall in dungeon routes
Based on top logs:
Fractalus: With KotG = 5,672,000 → 5,936,584 = +318,583 DPS
Top DPS logs are ~6,714,000. But since that’s basically just MM Hunters, I’d say Balance is looking pretty solid on pure single-target right now.
Demon Hunter boss: With EC = 8,152,592 → 8,315,643 = +163,051 DPS
Top logs have Warlocks sitting at ~10,816,750 DPS.
My conclusion:
On pure single-target, Balance is shaping up to be a really solid spec — easily among the best if you don’t count MM Hunter RNG nonsense kekw. AoE is still kinda weak, but you can’t be the best spec in every fight or situation. So yeah, maybe the buff isn’t massive, but Balance is looking good on pure single-target right now (just not on cleave or AoE).
