i wouldnt sweat it too much in raid, but generally you want to start a starfire cast before eclipse ends so the cast ends after eclipse is over and counts towards the next solar
in raid tbh i prefer to use NG on starfires so id rather end a surge cast outside of eclipse but im pretty sure its wrong

idk if you fully understand how your 4p works but the dryad spawns, all damage is placed in a pool, after 10 seconds you gain a buff that increases the damage your surges does based on the pool
you want as many modifiers as possible for the pool and for the surges

i asked this and ran the sim. Crafting 1MH gives me 1.7% upgrade while staff gives me 1.8%. should i just craft the 1MH, ive already did HC fract and didnt get voidglass, and also did plexus Mythic and didnt get 1H there.
