The way I understand it, you grind enough to level your delves from w/e level they start (3 I think?) to 8, and then you do 8 of lvl 8s to get heroic gear from them in your vault the next week which is when raid launches

I am so confused now regarding re-crafts!
Context Boomy!
Currently I have embellishments on Wrists and Cloak.
Cloak is going to be replaced with the new one, so no argue here.
The BIS boots is going to drop from raid and I might get it in don't know, 3 to 4 weeks. Or maybe more, no idea here.
So now remains Wrist, Weapon/OH and belt.
Wrist will contains one of the embellishments, now I want to come up with a plan how to proceed with my crafts on second week when we have a full shard for craft.
Based on Wowhead, my BIS would be void dagger from 5th boss and crafted OH. I guess it is counting on adding the catnip trinket later to empower MH, but it is not in the BIS list right now.
So I am wondering, is it a good idea to craft OH right now with Ascension embelish and change my wrist embelish to double Ascension effect?
Or take a safe path and craft a Belt with Versatility embelish with hero track craft for now and wait for rewards of second week of the season, and see what nerf/buff will come up?
Or any third option anyone can think of?

both the things you listed will be pretty bad for next week, depending on what you have now
you can have a 701 cantrip belt atm, so crafted would just be worse than that, you can get a better mh/oh or 2h next week or the week after, so crafted would be worse than that
you realistically just rock crafted wrists+boots, have a spare gloves/shoulders if you for if you have one of those slots open from tier. Otherwise you will just prob wear 1 embel until you craft a new one
no one will be able to tell you what's best as we cannot see the future on what you will get as drops so it's mostly "sim it in the future." outside of the few prep items (wrist/boots/gloves/shoulder)

Then I think crafting the boots with embelish for now would be the safest path, to keep double embelish as shoulder and gloves are marked as best tier set options.
Anyways, the game wants to spend, to craft something, then put it aside, economy of the game 😄
