1.5k means it could be plus or minus 1.5k. So just as an example, your base sim could be the lowest shittiest variance sim of -1.5k and the new item could be the best most insane juicer variance +1.5k, and that would be 3k difference or +3k dps. Just an example of the idea

Hey boomy pals, 640 new bird here, still trying to get the hang of proper rotation in ST/Raid environments. My opening burst is solid, and I usually find myself hovering in the top 10-15 for DPS throughout the fights.
I've got the concept down for a solid opener: moonfire, Sunfire, tree bois, CA, and then Convoke and dump starsurge because Convoke caps AP.
The question becomes, after this burst window is the optimal dps just 2x Starfire to eclipse, then wrath until AP dump while filling in tree bois and saving CA for next voke?

Again to fill you in, someone asked me for my heroic logs I gave them and simply said that we phased rik at 200m and I was at 4.2m dps at the time, so my dps would've been higher had a few people in the group did more damage, mainly the dk and mage

No. All of the Boomkins im pretty sure on TGP/MDI used Cyrces Siren Isle Ring. Atleast the ones I checked did. ( keep in mind they have the best gear in the game available to them all with tertiary stats included )
