I am guessing that if you aren't killing the mythic version and only have access to the heroic version then in some cases its better to stick with your crafted weapon? For example, I am not going to kill OAB so Bethey recommend Best in Slots, but if you don't have access to the mythic version of it, surely the pure ilvl and intellect stat increase cant make that better than a max crafted item?
