I understand Type to mean the ICAO code (ADS-B aircraft type code). But is the Model supposed to be the actual aircraft model, as in "make and model"? Just wondering because I recently submitted a correction for an aircraft Type, but the Model was also changed to that (and is now incorrect). If so, I'll submit another correction.

@gilded silo ? I assume this is in reference to #data-submission message
That's correct. The Model should be M20K while the Type is M20T (assume ATC wants to know it's turbocharged for performance characteristics). The ownership has also changed and just updated on the FAA website a couple days ago. (Not sure if that part is a manual update on ADSBX or automated.)
The aircraft type is automatically set based on the ICAO Type Code, for instance any aircraft with type code "M20T" is displayed as "MOONEY M-20T" by default, and "M20P" is displayed as "MOONEY M-20"
Ah, okay -- thanks for clarifying!
hmm. can't you override that? Otherwise it seems the Make/Model field in the submission form is pointless...
