thinking about buying the kit (https://store.adsbexchange.com/collections/frontpage/products/adsbx-diy-1090-feeder-kit)
what do i get for feeding, and can i also send data to fr24?
#What do you get for feeding?

I also send to fr24 and get a premium account because of that. Same with flightaware.
did you make your own stuff or did you order the kit?
If you purchase the kit, you can do whatever you want with it. If you qualify for a free kit, you are obliged to use it for ADSBx feeding only. The hardware is capable of feeding other aggregators, but you can't really expect a lot of support for that here, as those are basically ADSBx competitors.
i may get it, but is there anything i need to do to set it up?
besides plugging it in and stuff
Instructions are all in the kit, mainly configuring the location and antenna altitude, full instructions are included and it only takes a few minutes.
Indoors will reduce range somewhat but you'll still get good results.
The short answer is "yes"... it's always going to perform best if it has a clear unobstructed view of the sky..... but there are always compromises, and indoor solutions certainly can work. There are many factors involved in "how much it would hurt" )e.g. building materials, noise sources inside, etc)
if i use the kit, am i able to see what im sending? like how i use a rtl-sdr and my sdr to decode adsb
yes, you get a browser-based interface showing what your local feeder is receiving and contributing (accessible from your local network), and there's a way to see your own data on in the internet too
is the data automatically fed?
once you set it up, it will feed (and participate in MLAT) without any need for intervention really ... periodic updates might be a good idea, and just keep an eye on it, but basically "just works"
Ordered the kit with dongle and antenna, used an existing pi I had lying around.
I'll be ordering the kit when I can get enough for it
