gray dove
#

That doesnt seem wis-y

fallen vault
#

Its charisma, using deception to avoid mindreading as its capstone, learning about enemies' personality and history at 9th and using that to manipulate people

gray dove
#

So

#

Theres two charisma rogues

#

So should i rework Inquisitive to be both Wis and Int? Or like that u get to use either?

fallen vault
#

Idk lol up to you

gray dove
quartz tinsel
#

what are you going to do about dreams druid?

gray dove
#

What if—

#

I gave a rogue subclass a silver tongue esque ability for stealth

gray dove
gray dove
#

Or maybe just make it an optional rogue feature

fallen vault
#

might be much for an optional base feature. I guess its fine but like, the rogue already loves stealth so it doesnt need more encouraging lol

gray dove
#

True but it would be a bit odd to give a class thats all abt sneakyness “silver stealth” as an exclusive subclass feature

gray dove
#

XD

gray dove
#

Fey Bloodline Sorcerer?

#

Yay?

#

Nay?

#

I wanna make more sorcs cause im obsessed with em but i wanna make stuff thats generally “original”

#

Fae, Nature

#

Abyssal

#

@rustic solar my apologies for the double ping but chat got away from me and wouldnt return lols

#

Ik u made the Acheron Soul

#

So ik u know cool planes

#

Are there any other cool and obscure ones u know of?

hollow needle
#

there is also not an Elements Sorcerer

gray dove
#

As i stated in chat im making separate sorcs for each element

hollow needle
#

yea but you need an avatar

gray dove
#

No

#

No i do not

hollow needle
#

yes

#

who is gonna save Faerun from all the Fire Sorcerers?

gray dove
#

No

#

Just

#

Just no

#

/srs

#

Note: Crystal sorc

#

Sun, moon bloodline (moon is rework)

rustic solar
gray dove
#

I count it as obscure

#

Cause

rustic solar
gray dove
#

I didnt know abt it

hollow needle
rustic solar
#

Here are all 16 major outer planes, and the 7/8 internal ones, and the Negative and Positive Energy Planes

#

Yup, thats in the PHB

hollow needle
#

ik what it is, i didn’t know it was in the PHB

gray dove
#

Whats arborea and archadia?

rustic solar
#

The obscure planes are like, the paraelemental and quasielemental planes, the deep ethereal, the demiplanes

gray dove
#

And carceri

rustic solar
#

At least, for the ones that have layers that can be named

#

Carceri is the prison plane

#

its where you send that which you don't want getting out

#

The only way to get out of Carceri is via a wish spell

gray dove
#

Omg Ashley bout to pop in with lore?—

#

Shit she stopped typing xD

gilded vault
#

pretty sure they're all explained in the PHB, but definitely the DMG.
I highly recommend reading the basic books

gray dove
#

He k yeah

#

I have i just— forgor xD

#

I dont think abt the planes too often

#

Cause my games have HB planes

#

And fuck with existing ones

#

So the base ones i dont know too much

#

😅

rustic solar
#

Arcadia is one of the heavens; its where many of the lawful neutral and lawful good gods reside

#

Its connected to the Seven Heavens of Elysium, and is also where Mystra, the goddess of magic, dwelt before the spellplague

#

The heaven of mages and order, basically

gilded vault
#

Fair warning, prepare to be disappointed; while they're all very much listed, beyond the Abyss and the Nine Hells, d&d has across all of it's editions never gone into much depth about any of the other planes. Some have a superficial number of layers with brief descriptions, but nothing as far as depth goes.

rustic solar
#

Arborea is nature-heaven. Its home to elf-heaven, Arvandor. Its chaotic-good heaven, and its where animals go when they die. Arborea is also where Olympus is; and hence is where most of the Greek gods reside

gray dove
#

Wait so is Carceri just Tartarus?

rustic solar
#

The full name of the plane is

"The Tarterian Depths of Carceri"

gray dove
#

Oh xD

#

So yes then

#

XD

rustic solar
#

Its demiplanesz are Orthrys, Cathrys, Minethrys, Colothys, Porphatys, and Agathys

#

You might recognize Agathys as the plane you invoke when you cast Armor of Agathys

gray dove
#

A Carceri Soul sorcerer may be interesting—

#

Like arcanum has leaked from the depths of Carceri and basically “infected” you with what should not be free

#

Idk what kinda effects it should have

#

Probably just “Banishment the subClass”

#

Like how my Battlemage Sorc is “Spiritual Weapon the subClass”

rustic solar
#

The Ice-Bound Sixth layer of Carceri. A single black-ice orb with red streaks. The souls who reach agathys through petitioning (e.g. dying and entering the afterlife) are the souls of false friends and betrayers. If you stop moving, you freeze but never die. If you save one, they betray you at the first opportunity.

#

Armor of Agathys does retaliation damage because its an armor of betrayal

gray dove
rustic solar
#

Binding Magic, or Chain Magic

#

its pretty neat

gray dove
#

Ohhhh yea

rustic solar
#

Its not banishment; banishment is too easy

#

Carceri doesn't just whisk you away. It confines you utterly and totally.

gray dove
#

I have some spells that could certainly work for its expanded spells

#

But idk what the actual abilities would be xD

rustic solar
#

The six layers of Tarterus had a seemingly infinite number of worlds arranged like a string of pearls stretching into the air-filled void. In the top layer, Othrys, each orb was about the size of a Prime Material world and averaged about 100 miles (160 kilometers) from the nearest orb. In each successive lower layer the planetoids grew smaller and farther apart. There was no sun but the soil of each orb gave off heat and a dull reddish glow, similar to the phosphorescence of fire beetles. The planets did not rotate and there was no day or night unless a greater deity wished it so in their realm. Seasons and weather occurred randomly and what little plant life there was would rapidly mature after rainfall and then wither hours later.[11] Each orb was connected to one specific Prime Material world.[19]

The barriers between layers were always located at the deepest points on each planetoid and always lead to the same sphere in the next layer, so the worlds of Tarterus can be imagined as spheres nested like Matryoshka dolls and each layer contained a string of orbs of a particular size.[1]

#

For each Material World, there exists a planet on Carceri, which has six layers

#

Othrys, or Titan-Home, is swampland. Staying here made you more intelligent, but more arogant, egotistical. The River Styx runs through here. Petitioners here lied to gain power. The Greek Titans live here.
Cathrys, or the Scarlet Jungle, is actually somewhere you can find Demodands.

You know what Demodands are?

rustic solar
#

Devils and Demons are well known, and Yogoloths are statted out in 5e

#

but Demodands are the dudes who hang out Carceri

#

Ugly bastards

gray dove
#

Lmfao

rustic solar
#

They are the Wardens of the Prison Plane

gray dove
#

Interesting

rustic solar
#

They are to Demons what Devils are to Yugoloths

gray dove
#

Idk what that means ngl

rustic solar
#

They are on the more chaotic side of neutral, basically

#

You get the idea, though

#

my instinct would be to make a subclass about punishing

gray dove
#

Another martial sorc?

#

Or

#

More defensive sorc?

rustic solar
#

Remember, I think martial sorcs are a lost cause in 90% of cases

#

so no, I wouldn't do that :P

gray dove
#

So then defensive sorc?

#

But Im not sure/i worry if the retribution would be effective if its not a frontline sorc

fallen vault
rustic solar
#

Absolutely not

#

they are evil

#

They are willing to perform any action for money

fallen vault
#

Ah right neutral evil

#

But like how would you say more chaotic side or more lawful side

rustic solar
#

Well, Yugoloths are neutral in that they will do anything you say if you give them enough money

#

Demodands are neutral in that they won't do what you say no matter how much money you give them lol

gray dove
#

What if

#

It wasnt just your own retribution

#

But like

#

You could encover your allies with it as well

#

Basically a more support-based sorc

fading fulcrum
#

May I ask an odd question?

The inspiration for the name of the setting (telos zois)?

#

(asking cause the name sounds Greek no other reason)

gray dove
#

In english it means Life’s End

fading fulcrum
gray dove
#

Do u know greek?

#

XD

fading fulcrum
#

I'm greek

gray dove
#

Oh shit cool

fading fulcrum
#

That's the reason I asked xd

gray dove
#

Lols

#

Well ive always been obsessed with ancient greek culture and myth

#

And the setting is a general epic scale

#

There are three primary/elder gods who created shit

#

So mixed the primordials with the three greek bro’s

fading fulcrum
#

So you made Poseidon the Cthulhu?

gray dove
#

Primordials as in the grecian primordials

#

The creators of the world

#

Ones who made the titans

fading fulcrum
#

Oh

gray dove
#

Like Gaea and the other ones

#

Tho i did also take some inspiration from Lovecraft

gray dove
#

What it

#

*if

#

There were also some like—

#

Command type abilities?

#

Yay, nay?

gray dove
#

Should the fey sorc get resustance to psychic?

gray dove
#

Well shit its been a while since ive brewed anything

#

THERE WE GO

#

It worked

#

Now i just need to decide what to start brewing—

#

Could try to revamp the Spellforge again

Never did quite finish that

gray dove

#

No apologizes are worth it, save your words. You will need to explain your actions to the gods, and they are not forgiving.

gray dove

He won’t have any gods to apologize to

Im currently thinking letting them just— choose what potion they make over a long rest

#

Can use a potion as an action or bonus action

#

Somehow scaling the effects of the potions

#

Probably making it multiply by half your prof bonus rounded up for the wffects

rose cairn
#

turn spells into potions

gray dove

Ohhhhh

#

Like you can store a spell in one

rose cairn
#

cast a spell into a potion to use later

And like smash it as an action or smth

rose cairn
#

smash or drink depending on what it be

I was imagining a fireball potion

#

Fuckin smash that bitch into an enemy’s face

Take an additional 2d6 GLASS DAMAGE /hj

full basin
# rose cairn turn spells into potions

I like this!
You can give them to your allies, throw them at your enemies, or just chug the extra spicy one for +100 bonus to an intimidation check.
I'm also going to advocate for mixing different spells/effect together-For example, a fireball+shatter combo that does a ton of fire and thunder damage, more than what would normally be dealt, or a combo of Flame Blade + Shadow Blade, for one extra strong blade effect.

gray dove
#

Well not exactly but mixing the two ideas together

#

Also what if—

#

Capitalist Patron Warlock

full basin
gray dove
#

Hm watching Fools Gold's new video im tempted to make a Monk or Fighter subclass called the Soulbreaker lmfao

#

Concept for Sympathetic magic: rolling the same number on two dice = bond formed? = extra damage? Unsure

gray dove
#

Sympathetic Bond
At 2nd level your studies have allowed you to link creatures and objects sympathetically. After spending 1 minute within 100 feet of a creature, or when you hit a creature with an attack, you can form a sympathetic Bond between you and them for the next minute. When you do so you learn one of the following: the creatures weaknesses and resistances, their highest and lowest ability score (not the modifier), or their maximum hit points and armor class.

You can create a similar bond between two objects, one of which you must be within 5 feet of and the other you must be able to see within 20 feet of you. If the two objects are the same material you can form this bond so long as you have seen it previously, and it is within 100 feet of you. When you do so, you learn any properties the object has, what damage it deals (if any), and what it is made of.

You can form a Bond this way a number of times equal to your Intelligence score, and regain all expended uses after a long rest.

#

Hows this seem?

Linked
At 2nd level, you are able to take advantage of your Bonds with other creatures in unique ways. You gain the following abilities:
Mana Transfer :: As an action you can transfer a number of spell slots to the Bonded creature up to your proficiency bonus--if they lack spell slots they regain one use of a spell whose level is equal to the combined levels of the transferred slots.
Spell Extension :: You can target yourself for the purposes of self and touch spells, and have the resulting effect transfer to the Bonded creature.
Shared Pain :: When you would be dealt damage by the Bonded creature, you can use your reaction to expend spell slot of 1st-level or higher to have the Bonded creature take the damage as well.
