#Anycubic Kobra 3 Max not on the model selection?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
It's basically a Kobra 3 with an extended bed
But what if the project exceeds kobra 3 size bed?
just edit the bed shape
but when I do that, I get an error saying "FUS.stl is too close to exclusion area, there may be colisions when printing"
how can I override that?
I can see the origin size is not up to the 420x420 thats when object goes outside the origin, it won't work
how can I adjust that?
bed's origin doesn't move atually, it will be always in front-left as long as it's set to 0,0. The shifting you see is the original texture that obviously doesn't match the new size. This doesn't affect object position. That said, there can be error if there are macros with static values in your start gcode, etc
Did you manage to solve the problem with the size of the bed?
no, still figuring out
no 💀
Unfortunately, when you copy the preset from Anycubic Slicer, Orca Slicer resets this setting.
you need to get the correct graphics and re upload them
by how? sorry didn't know about this
the bed texture and the out line of the bed are 2 separate graphics that have to be the correct size as far as i know,
you need to load them in here
this is how i did these
Build Plate Model (Optional): To show a custom shape (like a bed with clips), obtain an STL file of the bed.
Texture Image: Prepare a PNG or SVG image for the texture (e.g., PEI, glass). For best results, use a top-down, high-quality image of the bed.
seems not to work since it still in that origin size
wait any ways to get rid of the origin size?
remove
remove what?
if you want to remover the grap[hics
changing the "size" sets your bed size nothing to do with the graphics
oh
ok its for graphics evaulation
doesn't do with origin size limits
"size" is used to set your print area, "origin" set were x0 y 0 is
my bed is larger than the print area so my x y are here
you can see my x=0 y =0 is 14mm in from each side
our problem is the exclusion area
0x0, 3x0, 3x420, 0x420, 0x420, 426x420, 426x420, 0x420, 426x420, 423x420, 423x0, 426x0, 0x0, 0x0, 426x0, 426x0
orca slicer doesn't accept the exclusion area of the kobra 3 max
when your moving the tool head when printing or just printer movemenr before the printer g code?
when you copy and paste from the Anycubic slicer to the Orca slicer, the value simply stays blank. If you try the value of the Kobra 2 Max, the print simply doesn't start
"the value is out of range"
If you try to export the configuration file from the Kobra 3 Max, the value is blanked out in the settings when opened.
your area seems to exclude the whole bed can you show me a sceww shot of the bed in the preview mode
can you drop these number in to your exclude area and show me what you get
70x0, 70x20, 50x20, 50x0, 260x0, 260x20, 240x20, 240x0
Its value worked with the height of 260mm, but the height of the Kobra 3 Max is actually 501mm; I forgot to update it.
I will try to print something
When I try to send, this error appears. The project appears on the printer as if it is warming up, but without heat
this a different error to the one above?
the one above is when I try to change the bed exclusion area. This one is when I send the gcode to my machine
can we just look at one fault at a tiime
I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but that exclusion area code left two little squares on the bed
ok so my exclusion cordinates work
yes
you need to do the coordinates in the correct order else it wont work
see my discription here

I'm sorry, but I didn't quite understand your explanation. I don't know anything about coordinates
draw a picture on your bed of the areas you need to avoid
hmm I think no area needs to be avoided
??
I'm a total noob
what was the issue
I can't use the Kobra 3 Max in Orca Slicer because it does the initial purge outside the print bed area, and this value is set in the excluded bed area in Anycubic Slicer, but in Orca Slicer if I set this value, Orca Slicer doesn't allow it because it's outside the print area. If I try to use any other value in Orca Slicer, the printer simply doesn't print when loading the gcode.
x:426 y:420 y:501
real print area: 420x420x500mm
excluded bed area: 0x0, 3x0, 3x420, 0x420, 0x420, 426x420, 426x420, 0x420, 426x420, 423x420, 423x0, 426x0, 0x0, 0x0, 426x0, 426x0
what firmware is the Korba using?
sorry the type RRF Kliper marlin etc
ok, can you send me a 3mf file, you can just put a cube on the build plate
using anycubic slicer or orca slicer?
orca slicer
with the file you sent me what is the first thing that doesnt happen correctly
0x0, 3x0, 3x420, 0x420, 0x420, 426x420, 426x420, 0x420, 426x420, 423x420, 423x0, 426x0, 0x0, 0x0, 426x0, 426x0
these are the official coordinates of the exclusion zone for the kobra 3 max used in anycubic slicer, using them in orca slicer doesn't work because it says the coordinates are going outside the bed area
you shouldnt need the exculion area unledd you are trying to avoid somthing.
let me check something
remove all the exclusion cordinates , and set your bed size correct 420 not 426
cursed printer
this happens when I try to send the gcode
thats a differant fault all together
do you know the ip address or network name of your printer?
you need to fill this in
then do a test and see what reply you get
This was already configured, Orca Slicer can communicate with my printer. What happens is that after this error, the printer shows as if it were going to print the cube, but it stays on the heating screen forever without starting to heat up
when you press test what is the reply
didnt realise you have octo print as well
if you go to your web browser and type in your ip address for octoprint does it apear ok?
anycubic added in the penultimate update of the kobra 3 max
no, that is only visible with rinkhals
a custom firmware
i think this is your issue , orca uses a browser to talk to your printer if you cart open the printer page in your browser orca wont work,
you may have to go to a nother forum to sort this out
doesnt the kobra have a web page?
only when using rinkhals or inside anycubic slicer
