#Multi-color print on AD5X didn't change colors.

I sent a 3-color print to my printer (print-by-object for only 2 color changes). I had the same colors indicated in Orca Slicer (2.3.1) as were loaded & indicated on the printer.

All parts of the print came out the same color - there were no color changes.

All the videos I've watched say that I can use standard Orca with the AD5x to do multi-color prints, I just don't get the dialog box to match up slicer color to printer color, and I'm fine with that. However, I'd like for it to actually do the color changes!

Have I missed a setting somewhere?

G-code attached. I can post it to hastebin (or similar) if that's preferred.

i don't know a whole lot about multi-material stuff, but what gcode are you adding at the filament changes? I think by default it doesn't add any gcode, therefore it might not have a tool change command

nvm, there are tool change commands on the gcode

I haven't added any g-code for a tool change. Nothing I've seen indicated that I needed to manually do that.

i looked through the gcode and yea, there are tool change commands. i should have looked before i said anything. i have no clue what would be wrong

Apparently, you can use Orca to do multi color prints on the AD5X.
But, there are specific steps to follow:

  1. Upload the print file to the printer
  2. From the printer's screen select the uploaded file to print
  3. Click the "Enable IFS" button (which, apparently must be done every time.
  4. Start the print.

I was attempting to "Upload and print" and it failed miserably. 😢
