Hello, a few days ago I downloaded OrcaSlicer from the orca-slicer.com website, since I'm terrible at understanding GitHub. Now that I've researched it more, I've seen that this website may have malware, etc. The thing is, I'm a bit of a maniac with my PC, since that's where I work and have everything. I ran the downloaded file through VirusTotal, and it didn't find any problems, so I installed it. Today, I realized while reading GitHub that this site is malicious. Does anyone know if this file, which didn't flag anything on VirusTotal, is actually malicious? Or is it just a website quickly put together for people to download, but without any viruses?

hi, first thing, please avoid double posts.
there is only one official website, which is pinned in the main chat among other links
the only way to check your file is to compare the hashes with from the legit source (github)

#

some fake sites are redirecting to the git but there is no guarantee the site themselves are safe

But I have no idea how to check the hash or what it is, and sorry for the double post, I didn't know where to put the help request.

"I don't know" doesn't mean posting multiple times, but ok

#

there are tools for comparing files, but it's not worth it at this point, just download from git

I'll try, thank you, and sorry again.

I checked the hash with an online website, and it appears to be the same.
