Hi, I can't get a good print; I always get an artifact like the one on the top. The bottom option is the outer perimeter printing first. IS is calibrated. PA - I tried calibrating with both the tower and lines. I changed the temperatures. Has anyone else encountered this?

PETG, speeds 180-200 mm/s. 3-6k accel.
Temperatures tested ranged from 235 to 265.

Pa—if tested with a tower, it's 0.048. If tested with lines, it's 0.062. But both options produce the same printout. Just remember, if we include the outer perimeter first, everything's fine.

Have you tuned for the max volumetric flow rate? That's pretty fast for PETG at those temps, unless it's a HS/HF version. You might outrunning what you can physically flow with consistency.

Download the file from here #1363262234767261777 message that is appropriate for your nozzle size. Print it with the following settings:

  • Arachne wall generator
  • Line width = nozzle size
  • Layer height = nozzle/2
  • Precise Wall = off
  • Small area flow compensation = off

Then post pictures of the top, bottom, and sides.

(and the printer's going to be busy for quite some time, if the rngoddess doesn't decide to spaghettify it)

The problem remains and continues after the seam.

The key is to make sure you do the test using the exact same print volumetric flow rate and accel as you do with normal printing. And then with your normal prints to make sure that your outer wall speeds remains as consistent as possible. Since PA is dependent on flow and accel, big changes either of those can cause a big difference in what the needed PA value is, and that is where tuning Adaptive PA comes into play.
