Hi folks, I have a hollow model that I want to support on the outside but left empty, as it would be hard to remove support in the inside and I don't care about the inside anw. But I run into issue in which tree support keep being generated for the inside regardless of whether I paint the support block or user support blocker primitive. Switching to normal support resolve this issue, but then it have another issue of support does not follow on build plate only and being generated on the model itself.
#Tree support does not follow support blocker

this happens on both 2.3.0 and 2.3.1 beta. Let me know if you need a 3mf file, I'll send via dm. I raised an issue in github but it has been there for several days without any interaction
Some bugs have been known to sit for years without being resolved.
yeah, that's why I decided to bring it here in case anyone know a way to workaround, this is driving me crzy
Sharing the project 3MF could be helpful, that way others can see exactly what you are and experiment with the settings to see what might work.
here the 3mf for the bug report. I'm using a standard profile for demonstration purpose here.
The tree supports that were generated inside were actually still on the build plate in your 3mf because it sliced a void in the bottom exposing the bed
The issue I see with this model is the bottom of the rabbit's neck where it meets the moon - without enough infill they'll be printed (spaghettied) into the middle. That little hole in the base of the model could have been intended (if not your design) to allow a small support to go up to that spot. I edited a copy of that model to remove the wonky hole and then Orcaslicer made a bridge just below that point to build off of instead.
thanks for looking into this, bro. The hole was intentional as I will put a candle light into it. I understand the problem with spagetti on the iside and willing to take it. The issue I have is I already block the support (by using both support paint feature and support blocker - the big red rectangle), but the support still being generated inside the model, which I don't want it to. As you can see in the file, normal support adhere to the blocker just fine, but tree support is being stubborn
