nope
@bold stone i dont see anything in their profile release notes related to VFA. There are a few adjustments to quiet the printer on the structural profiles that I can look at adding. I believe all of the problems related to VFA was due to belt tensions. If you can find which version they added VFA adjustments I am more than happy to add them but I can't seem to find them
This is following a message from Josef Prusa.
So I actually tested it on Orca Slicer; the profiles are not as good, so they're probably not up to date.
And yes is related to VFA.
I've seen several issues with the Orca Slicer, such as poor retraction and this VFA issue.
At first, my issue was the same with both Prusa and the Orca Slicer, and since the profile update, it's only been with the Orca Slicer.
sounds good, I will look at making these changes early next week
Yes, I am glad that this improves the VFA situation in addition to the tension to be reviewed.
// I'm in contact with Prusa about this, and there will also be a firmware update.
They told me the VFA would be on 3 axes.
- Belt tension needs to be corrected
- Profile updates
- Firmware updates (not yet available)
They did slow the outer perimeter from 80 down to 70 and they sped up i think some 45s to 50mm/s. They did just void resonance frequencies as far as I could see.
yeah thats pretty easy to update. i should be able to write a script to update it easily
I really wish I had written a script to E2E convert the prusa profiles to orcaslicer so I could just run it and gen a new set but you live and you learn
There will be the day you got the time to do it. Until then everything is fine. 😄
it was honestly hell making this profile because of all the inconsistencies between PS -> OS
regarding profiles... did you know: https://github.com/TINMORRY/TINMORRY-filament-profile-for-Prusa-printers/blob/main/PETG-CF(MK4S-Orca-TINMORRY).json ?
