Hello Edwin. I'm having the same issue. I'm new here too and joined to see if there was an available solution.
This worked for me to solve the issue! Found on reddit.com/r/OrcaSlicer
There's a few ways to make it work, but the easiest one for you to try it fast is:
open up a terminal, run the command: export WEBKIT_DISABLE_COMPOSITING_MODE=1
then run the orca-slicer from within the terminal.
Run through the setup and restart the app and it works!
Just that the whole build plate is non existant yes : D
I am having a similar issue using Mint.
The "WEBKIT_DISABLE_COMPOSITING_MODE=1" worked for fixing the wizard graphics, but the device tab would now freeze and crash.
Have also heard running the "nightly build" of Orca, or changing the graphic drivers to generic has helped some people.
I'm not too familiar with Linux so I'm working through all slowly myself.
Hey everyone, I'm also really new here and just shifted to Linux from windows.
I just installed the newest mint, but I'm unable to get the AppImage file to start. does anyone has a clue, what could be the solution?
