#Layer Shift due to Seam Position

Two different filaments, two different sizes. Same issues.
For whatever reason there’s a layer shift occurring at that specific height.
Looking at sliced file, the seam position changes at that layer. So somehow the seam position changing is affecting the layer shift.

Apart from painting seams manually, what the heck can I do to avoid this layer shift?

If you really think they are related, the first thing I would do is paint them manually to be in the same spot, and see if it still shifts.

That is the only thing that would make sense based on the tests I've done.
At first I thought maybe it was the printer hitting something, but based on the error occurring at the same layer, but different physical heights, idk what could be the root cause bar that.

But yet it still seems weird to me that somehow just having the seam position change would create a layer shift like that

Has it happened with other prints? Or just this one?

Let’s see how I get on.
I’m printing a larger print now, different filament.
Will take 6hrs so I’ll have to check in the morning
