We can all agree thumpers suck, 99% of player dont even pick them up over starter legs because they arent even worth the time the animation takes to equip. They need a buff to increase usability... 2 small things would make them more usable instantly. 1. faster strike activation time and No red icon when they are deployed, players should see is the flares drop and have to react immediately or be hit no red icon on the screen no warning react or die. The speed at which they hit after flares are deployed needs to be increased by 10-15%... 2. Auto fire... 90% of the time pulling out the ipad is too slow and will get you killed, they need a autofire feature that lets you take a knee no Ipad and fire imediatly at whatever you are looking at within a certain range.

In another post I said that the time should scale with the distance traveled - for close targets they should hit faster
No visual alert. Only audible.. like a loud missile whistling 3 seconds before impact
Whoever is inside, under a roof, is already protected. People in the air are protected as well. So these limiting factors also suggest Thumpers could use a buff.
Imho, they 100% need faster animation, that’s the starting point.
I think those in the air should be susceptible to the same damage radius as those on the ground.
I've been hit while in cover too but it hasn't happened in a while so something might have changed behind the scenes.
If i remember correctly someone (from the staff) already said they are thinking about a rework.
One option was that they could work somehow like a mortar strike, the other option i forgot.

A while back there was a bug where it was making contact whether you were under cover or not. But it did make them viable for a minute
